Kushner tasked with overhauling Republican party platform ahead of election

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner has been overseeing a major attempt to overhaul the Republican party platform ahead of the 2020 election, according to a report.

The effort is being led by Trump campaign adviser Bill Stepien in tandem with the Republican National Committee, with all involved reporting back to Kushner with any developments, according to Axios.

Work on changes to the platform have been underway for six months.

I’m betting to Kushner penned platform will be very succinct and will focus on conservative values, both social and economic values.

1. Cut the size of the federal government by 50%
2. Eliminate the Dept of Education and the Dept of Energy
3. Move 50% of the remaining departments out of Washington
4. Reduce the Federal Register and The Code of Federal Regulations by 50%
5. Devolve power to the States
6. Strong defense

Exactly but I think this is one area POTUS refuses to accept that those who voted for him are not fans of his daughter and son-in-law.

Honestly, I feel Jared has no business doing this. Allow someone who shares our beliefs to take on this roll.

this may be a good way to give Kushner something to do which he can’t screw up too badly (or rather, if he does screw up the platform it won’t matter much anyway)

I understand the reaction, but keep in mind that Trump won in 2016 despite openly running AGAINST the GOP platform on key issues like globalism, trade and immigration.

The worst thing the GOP can do is keep its platform unchanged in 2020.
