No offense, but when was the last time the U.S. military defended anyone’s freedom here in the U.S.? That was the whole point of my historical reference there.

Maybe I missed the media coverage of the Army protecting barbers in Michigan or the Marines guarding beachgoers in New York who were threatened with arrest by totalitarian thugs.

You want the U.S. military to operate here? Are you freakin nuts? That would only go against.., I don’t know, everything this country stands for.

Probably the Revolutionary War. When you boil the military experience down the only thing you really give a shit about are your mates...comrades in arms...and that’s for life.

Ridiculous statement on so many levels. The military is for projecting force and defeating our enemies in battle. You have the Guard that operates domestically. We have laws to limit the military acting as law enforcement on our own soil. Be damn glad we have those laws and stop making ridiculous statements. If Trump could deploy a squad of Rangers to protect a barber, Obama could have used that same squad to Shut down gun shops.

Perhaps today is not the day for making this very important, and true, point.

So, we do away with the U. S. Military and then get invaded by ________ (fill in the blank).   Just what are you trying to say here?

Rebellion and/or Insurrection.

You don’t want the military doing much of anything else domestically.

Never.

The military does what the nation deems and is subordinate thereto. Blame your representatives and senators, they hold all the legislative power and are the posse comitatus’ arms and hands of action.

Limited action is a purely Constitutional power of the executive, subject to oversight by Congress.

Warriors of the US do nothing W/O authorization.
