The Boston Globe ran an editorial in support of the Democrats latest gun control push and bolstered their position by suggesting gun kit sales seem to be on the rise.
The Globe is backing Sen. Richard Blumenthals (D-CT) push for new regulations on ghost guns and the gun kits from which such guns are built. Breitbart News reported Blumenthals claim that such guns are untraceable, yet he also claimed to know there are currently elevated sales of such guns.

The liberals should be very concerned when scoped rifle sales increase.

He’s only 74??
Feels like he’s been around forever.
Tracing is a ridiculously ineffective law enforcement. Despite a few hit TV shows, its never the case that a gun is found at the crime scene, and is traced back to the owner, thereby solving a crime.
Guns used in crimes are mostly stolen, And if the gun is dropped at the scene, usually the bad guy is also.
Guns are not traceable without registration. Traceable guns have one purpose only, confiscation
Seems without fail we hear “Check to see if it’s registered.” in these shows too.
Translation: we’re deathly afraid that the folks might be arming up to revolt against us, so we’ve got to put the revolt down now!
SCOTUS needs to settle the 2nd Amendment issue once and for all. They must make it clear that “shall not be infringed” means *exactly* what it says *and* that *all* citizens,*regardless* of what state/county/city they live in,must not have those clearly spelled out rights infringed.
I assume gun kits are another name for 80% receivers. If so they cant be regulated in the same way as a gun. Reason being they arent yet guns until some additional machining is done. Itll be interesting to see how the commies contort things to match their desirers.
The rifles in that shooting club were, and are untraceable.
No serial numbers required on them before 1968.
Yes.
The only real purpose of traceability is to build a system for registration.
The only real purpose of registration is to enable confiscation, either piecemeal, as is being done in California now, or en mass, as was done by the NAZIs in occupied territories or the Russians as they gained power.
This Lib and I were friends until politics came up, he used to come to my house for regular BBQs, but then just stopped (so we disagree, it happens).
Anyway he just posted on FB: “Then start enacting laws that the majority of Americans want. Tax reform, gun control, socialized medicine liviable wage.”
At least he’s honest about his objectives.
No serial numbers required on them before 1968.
Yes, that's roughly a century's worth of cartridge firearms production and imports that the feds can't account for. "Kit guns" and "ghost guns" are a ruse - the vast number of older, privately-transferred firearms... that's what they want to pin down.
Surely he meant VAST majority of Americans right?
Toilet paper sales went through the roof at the start of the pandemic. Do we need more laws regulating toilet paper too? How much you’re allowed to own? Who’s allowed to buy it? Mandatory waiting periods on buying toilet paper? Maybe these liberal idiots would care to tell us all exactly how to wipe too!
There is NO reason to enact more unconstitutional restrictions on our God-given rights to defend ourselves and our families. Waste of time and money.
I think we need Ginsberg and maybe one other liberal justice replaced, then we can gut every gun control law in the country. No more bans. No more registration lists. No more waiting periods. No Gun Control Act. No National Firearms Act. And strike the unconstitutional restrictions on machine guns from FOPA too. One or two more good justices and so much becomes possible!
Anyone have recommendations on an AR10 build?
