President Trump lashed out at former Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Twitter Saturday evening, accusing the GOP Alabama Senate candidate of 'ruining lives' when he decided to recuse himself from the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Russia probe.
The tweet from Trump slamming Sessions is the latest installment in a back-and-forth between the two over Memorial Day Weekend.
Jeff, you had your chance & you blew it. Recused yourself ON DAY ONE (you never told me of a problem), and ran for the hills. You had no courage, & ruined many lives, Trump shared, retweeting Sessionss earlier rebuke.
The dirty cops, & others, got caught by better & stronger people than you. Hopefully this slime will pay a big price. You should drop out of the race & pray that super liberal @DougJones, a weak & pathetic puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi & Cryin Chuck Schumer, gets beaten badly. He voted for impeachment based on ZERO. Disgraced Alabama. Coach @TTuberville will be a GREAT Senator! Trump continued.

Yes, he was an early Trump supporter, mainly because of the immigration issue.
That being said, Jeff was in over his head, as the truth is coming out now. Maybe too naive as well. Had no idea he had criminals in his organization. Since he recused himself because he supposedly talked to a Russian in his official capacity, did anyone ever hear about Bob “beyond his purview” Mueller write about Sessions and clear him in his Russian meddling report?
Sessions should have resigned instead of recusing. He served at the request of the POTUS, who was elected. He should just admit he made a GREAT mistake in that regard and how ignorant he was of what really was going on in DC. He attacks POTUS today instead of attacking the criminals in the DOJ, FBI and Bob Mueller with all the stuff that has been coming out in the past month. On that score, I hear crickets from Jeff. He had his chance, he blew it, time for him to step aside and enjoy his retirement in Alabama, a great state. Some people end their careers on a high note. He won;t.
That vile poster lies .
Rosenstein was Sessions nominee .
All nominations at the level go thru the President.
If, God forbid, Sessions wins then he’s going to be Romney, Jr. for Trump.
Fine but Mueller wasnt appointed because of Sessions recusal. He wasnt appointed until MORE THAN TWO MONTHS LATER.
I really, really dont understand what happened to Sessions.
I do he is part of the swamp!
“Sessions was an early Trump supporter.”
We don’t know that for sure.
“A honorable man.”
We don’t know THAT for sure, either.
I do. The Deep State threatened him with DEATH if he didn't recuse himself from the investigation of their COUP.
Emmet Sullivan got the same call. He has essentially RECUSED HIMSELF, too..
THREATS OF DEATH is all the Deep State has left. You interfere in their CRIMINAL COUP and you end up like SETH RICH.
Trump is correct.. He let the country be drug through the mud!!
He failed and because he cant take responsibility is blaming Sessions.
Great observation.
Ive thought for some time these guys are being blackmailed
or know they will be if fall out of line with the blackmailers
Or so invested in bureaucracy and self interest that to hell with the country
It’s arrogance. Not blackmail. Time and again we have seen those hired by Trump decide “they know better” and refuse to fully support his agenda. In Sessions case I believe he strongly disagreed with Trump’s unorthodox Russia/NATO policy and decided he just wasn’t interested in supporting him on that topic. So that made recusal easy. Once the Mueller Coup unfolded he wanted to be AG so badly that he ignored the destroyed lives all around him. That’s my opinion, anyway. Take it with a grain of salt. Ha ha.
Its pretty clear Sessions believed he was doing the honorable thing. Sir Sessions, Knight of DC, quickly withdrew from battle, leaving the king undefended. Even if he thought he was acting honorably, he should have consulted with Trump first.
Sessions could like soccer.
Hes either of the three propositions.
1. A coward.
2. A fool.
3. A co-conspirator
..... there is no reason to think that those three propositions are mutually exclusive.
That’s not what happened but delusions can be a comfort for some.
What’s with this response by Sessions:
“Tuberville’s a coward who is rightly too afraid to debate me. He says you’re wrong on China & trade. He wants to bring in even more foreign workers to take American jobs. That’s not your agenda and it’s not mine or Alabama’s. I know Alabama. Tuberville doesn’t.”

bkm
Sessions was a coward, still is.
Trumps fundamental misunderstanding of the role of the AG which continues today.
