Former U.S. Congressman and Texas Republican Chairman candidate Allen West was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday, his team said in a tweet.

The tweet linked to a Facebook status posted by Dr. Angela Graham-West, who said he was in the emergency room and was injured outside of Waco.

I was on a cycle years ago and was hit from behind at about 5 mph. .....felt like a million mph. I sold it damn fast.
We ran in to him and his wife on a cruise in 2017. Such nice people!!
