Why did James Clapper, John Brennan, Samantha Power and Susan Rice privately admit under oath that they had no evidence of collusion while saying the opposite publicly?

For years I’ve thought this should happen. Reporters don’t get to ask a question until they answer one.
She prepared, laid in wait for them to try to waylay her, and Bam! Perfect all the way from the lead-in about how many might be visually oriented for learning so she had some “pictures” for them to look at...bitch-slapped them then BITCH-SLAPPED them...
