The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested the man who recorded cellphone video of Ahmaud Arbery being shot and killed.
William “Roddie” Bryan, 50, shot the video that showed what appears to be Gregory and Travis McMichael shooting and killing Ahmaud Arbery while he was out jogging in February.
In a news release, the GBI said it charged Bryan with felony murder and criminal contempt to commit false imprisonment.

The lesson is to let the police do their job. That’s what they’re trained to do. That’s what they’re paid to do. Next time call them, give them all the information you have, let them do the arrest. Play stupid games like vigilante, win stupid prizes.

I am dumbfounded as to how this guy did anything wrong. He films something and turns it over to the cops.

I have been curious as to how he managed to be following them in his car and filming the entire incident, if it was spur of the moment as they claim, sounds like they had a Plan all along.

Me too. I don’t see how the man who filmed the action can be guilty of murder unless he planned things ahead of time with the McMichaels. Abraham Zapruder wasn’t charged in the JFK assassination. The photographer who caught Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald didn’t face charges. The man who filmed the cops beating Rodney King wasn’t charged for the 50 or so deaths that followed the verdict when the cops were not found guilty enough.
Sounds like that was the case.
He was in on it. Cornering the dead guy and filming it in an attempt to show the dead guy was in the wrong.
How are you going to prove intent? Nothing was taken. No felony was committed.

Had Zabruder known Oswald and had gone with him to Dealey Plaza, he would have been charged.
Plus they have these civil law suits coming. On top of lawyer fees.
Yeah, because he would have had to get his Super 8MM camera out of the closet, load new film into it, wind it up, have it mounted on his dashboard to be prepared for this incident. Too bad NOBODY has some kind of very small battery powered video device they could use or easily carry on their person while driving.
Maybe one day, someone will invent Dashcams and then you don't even have to hold the camera still.
Evidently the GBI can because according to the headline, they arrested him.

The GBI has jumped the shark. This is all political appeasement, and nothing else.
The GBI officers don't give a crap how much it's going to cost someone to get out of their fake charges. They care about their jobs, and are simply doing this because the governor wants it done.
Maybe if they arrest *YOU*, you'll cop to a crime and turn's state's evidence.

This is the government throwing a hissy fit because they always get upset when enough wheels start squeaking.
The jury won’t be allowed to consider it.
There are thousands of non-jogging, convict gang bangers out there. You can’t shoot them for that.
The participants better hope they can demonstrate self-defense in court. All this other crap isn’t going to matter.
I don’t side with either the stupid dead guy or the stupid 3 Barney Fife wannabees. The justice system will decide. But it won’t decide based on the dead guy’s record, whether he was jogging, or his entry into the house under construction.
