I have been curious as to how he managed to be following them in his car and filming the entire incident, if it was spur of the moment as they claim, sounds like they had a Plan all along.

Yeah, because he would have had to get his Super 8MM camera out of the closet, load new film into it, wind it up, have it mounted on his dashboard to be prepared for this incident. Too bad NOBODY has some kind of very small battery powered video device they could use or easily carry on their person while driving.
Maybe one day, someone will invent Dashcams and then you don't even have to hold the camera still.
