New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has claimed that his city requires $7.5 billion in federal aid to get back on track after being crippled by the coronavirus pandemic that has killed thousands of residents and shut down much of the city's economy.
President Trump and other Republican leaders have resisted handing out too much aid out of concern state and local leaders are hoping to be bailed out of economic trouble that began well before COVID-19 ravaged the nation. De Blasio insisted on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" that this is not the case for his city, which needs the money to recoup losses needed to pay city workers.

“That’s revenue that’s gone that pays for cops, firefighters, teachers, sanitation workers, it’s gone," de Blasio said. "And there’s no way I’m going to get it back.” De Blasio said he expects even greater losses, and that the city’s economy “won’t come back without a stimulus.”

You know why states that are run by democrats are billions in the red? Obviously they mismanage the taxpayer money by using it to buy votes with giveaway programs but if you notice, most of the politicians and their cronies are all very wealthy. I surmise they got wealthy and continue to get wealthier by looting via kickbacks and monetary diversions from the large pools of taxpayer money they allocate to fund their useless, unworkable and unconditional programs. Kalifornia, NY, Illinois, Virginia, Oregon, Washington and a few other states NEED to be audited by someone other than their State’s Treasury’s office before any federal bailout money is wasted on them. I suspect the criminals in the state houses will just loot it too!

If there is going to be a bailout — and I am not saying there should be — there needs to be a lot of conditions: 20% reduction in non-essential workforce or equivalent cost reduction through wage and benefit concessions; 10% budget reduction for all non-essential departments and agencies; repeal of the no-bail laws; repeal of all sanctuary laws and policies; denial of all social-welfare benefits to ILLEGAL aliens; moratorium on the dumping of homeless people in update communities, etc. Oh, and DiBlasio can’t use his gas sucking motorcade to travel from the Mayor’s mansion to Queens to go to the gym.
NYC will continue to do what NYC does until they are forced to deal with their problems rather than get bailouts from others. As long as they can get others to cover for their incompetence, they will never change. Let them hit rock bottom. Force them to live in the real world. Maybe, just maybe, they will toss out the leftist grifters and put someone in charge that isn’t a woke moron.
