State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R) of Butler County is slated to propose a resolution calling for the impeachment of Gov. Tom Wolf (D), contending that the governor has “violated a number of our God-given rights affirmed in the United States Constitution.”
Metcalfe sent a memo to colleagues on Friday, asking them to cosponsor his measure to impeach the governor over his administration’s response to the coronavirus in the Keystone State. In the memo, Metcalfe states that Wolf’s order “mandating the closure of physical locations of all businesses that he has deemed ‘non-life sustaining’ has violated our citizens’ rights in many devastating ways.”
“His order constitutes a taking of property from business owners without just compensation. The lack of due process and judicial review permitted under his order also violates the Constitution,” he said, adding that the stay-at-home order has violated Pennsylvanians’ rights to free speech and assembly.
The Butler County Republican also told colleagues that the Wolf administration has lacked transparency “as agencies under his control have stopped responding to requests for records and his office has refused to provide vital information” — a reference to the shadowy business waiver program allowing certain nonessential businesses to apply for exemptions to operate while the stay-at-home order remains in place. The Department of Community and Economic Development only granted waivers to 6,123 businesses, and the administration has yet to provide the criteria used to determine which businesses were granted waivers.
“His delays and obfuscation have been, and continue to be, entirely unacceptable,” Metcalfe said....The governor “must be held accountable for his actions that have harmed so many of our citizens and violated so many of our rights,” the state lawmaker added. “No individual or office is above the law.”

It will be interesting to see what happens in Florida should there be a resurgence of the virus in a couple of weeks. I think the issue is that Republicans tend to be the party of business and Dems the party of people’s lives.
I made a copy on May 11 of all the US states and listed territories from Worldometers USA, so I could compare how the various states turn out as they reopen or not. I compared Florida with Michigan, and Texas today May 17th. US has gone from 80 to 90 thousand dead in 6 days. Florida has almost doubled the amount of tests given in that time and changes in other statistics compared with MI and TX are relatively similar, although Texas is now listed above Michigan, not below. On the two far right columns in the Worldometers list there are items you can click. Below is the Projections list I clicked for Florida on the last column.

Finally someone in government recognizes that all of this was a farce. Yes, the virus is bad and folks died. But it was NO WHERE as bad as they claimed it would be. It was made up by the One Worlder’s to hang around Trump’s butt. This is all to destroy him. It was meant to destroy our economy. It was to take CONTROL. And now the commie dims are trying to tie it around Trump’s neck. Their stupid polls claim Butt-den is way ahead in some states. We know it ain’t true, but some silly sheep will read it and believe it. All to damage Trump. People need to wake up before it is too late and we have lost the Republic. We are that close.

I cannot speak for Florida, but here in Texas, a conservative Republican organization has filed suit against Governor Abbott. Lots of conservatives are unhappy. Enough to mount a credible primary challenge...I have no idea?
