Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina is stepping aside as chairman of the influential Senate Intelligence Committee while he's under investigation for stock trades he made ahead of the market downturn sparked by the coronavirus pandemic. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement Thursday that Burr "contacted me this morning to inform me of his decision to step aside as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee during the pendency of the investigation." He said Burr's resignation as chairman will be effective at the end of the day on Friday.

Despite my earlier post about how Cotton would be leaps and bounds better than Rubio, even Rubio would be an improvement over Burr. Probably.
Weren’t they trying to tie him into Barr somehow?
It seems with all the monsters in our capital, the FBI only swarms on Rs.

Any of them would be an improvement.
I don’t think they will ever make a case against him as they all do it and many people outside government recognized that the pandemic would impact markets, but I am happy to see this lame duck RINO step down.

Feinstein and other demonKKKrats did the same thing, with stocks, yet they’re untouched.
The timing of this is a little bit suspect. I don’t know of a nexus between Burr and Barr. If they had something on Burr, and wanted to use it for current purposes, I think they would have left him in place and manipulated him. His replacement will almost certainly be more aggressive (praying so). The FBI doesn’t seem to do raids on Dems. It’s not because they are all so squeaky clean. I guess we will see what use they try to make of this.

Use this to have him give up what he knows about the coup attempt.
That’s possible, but it would mean that somebody at Justice
actually wants to root out the coup attempt. I hope so. I mean, it could just be the result of some honest career civil servant at Justice simply doing his job, but the timing is suspect.
We are in uncharted territory so it is impossible to even analyze what is going on.
We know longer know for sure who the “good guys” are.
What we do know is that President Trump sees much more then we do, and he seems to have the ability to connect dots we don’t even know exist, and the ability to push the right button at the right time.
Two years ago no one even knew how to spell COUP D’ETAT now it is out in the open (even if the mainstream press is not covering it).
President Trump is peeling the onion exposing the treason slowly. The Democrats (and the media) do not know just how much the administration knows and that makes it difficult to get their stories straight. Notice how they keep falling back on RUSSIAN COLLUSION.
I am content to let the President play his hand anyway he wants to.
If his stock sales were in February, I don’t know how this will hold. POTUS announced a state of emergency on January 31st and banned all Chinese travel. Anyone with stocks which could be affected would be fool not to sell.

The FIB must get approval from Peking to start that investigation.
