So whats gonna happen to any of them? Based on their history in Congress...nothing. Theyre afraid of the militant left and the media...and they dont want to give up their cushy DC offices and all the trappings of power!
“It’s illegal to listen people’s private conversations!”
Unless you have a warrant, of course, which they did here. Rand Paul, for the second day in a row, has tried grabbing the spotlight with nothing to show.
They had a warrant?
I paraphrased. Sorry. He said ‘i think illegally’.
He also says: ‘It is illegal to listen to an Americans conversation and its even worse if you listen to American if its a political opponent’ (4:00)
Yes, FISA has had the ability to issue warrants for many years, it has been litigated and held constitutional.
Senator Paul has on occasion railed against FISA, let’s see if he’s actually able to accomplish something and make it go away — which, by the way, I would heartily thank him for doing. If he were to actually do so.
FOREIGN intelligence court.
Rand says its illegal to spy on American citizens.
The last two warrants they used on Carter Page were beyond the pale and should have excluded all evidence that came out of them.
But, taking these cases individually shows the danger of the whole stinking system.
Tear it down. No domestic spying, ever.
Rand is doing his best. He isnt as powerful as Graham who has done nothing for a year now...
Keep the faith.
I so despise Neil Cavuto.
It is obviously unconstitutional to spy on someone without going to a federal judge, showing evidence that a crime has been committed by John Doe and getting a warrant to spy on John Doe. Check your 4th amendment. FISA courts and the Patriot Act (FU W Bush) are unconstitutional laws which violate the 4th.
I have noted that I picked a name at random from the list, a name that was unfamiliar. I picked Mike Neutfeld of Treasury. I found that he was a factotum in DOT’s Small Business element. He had an unremarkable business history. What he was doing accessing an intercept is utterly beyond me.
I stand with Rand.
Whose side are you on? Rand Paul stated he has no problem with using a FISC warrant for foreigners. However, he has a problem with the unmasking of Americans on calls recorded with the FISC warrant and without a warrant requiring probable cause as outlined in the US Constitution. I think he had plenty to show to viewers who may not have understood the issue.
