Officials are delineating the parameters of relaxing stay-at-home orders that have throttled the global economy, yet a few companies are already giving the public a glimpse of life once stringent coronavirus restrictions begin winding down.
Currently, states and cities are crafting a pell-mell retreat away from lockdowns designed to contain the COVID-19 crisis but that have decimated growth and the jobs market. Yet, it's widely acknowledged that social distancing protocols that enforce small crowds and require the use of face masks in public will remain in effect.
Already, a range of big and small businesses around the country are actively implementing the post-lockdown new normal. Its become a catchphrase that has defined public discourse since COVID-19 upended societal norms, and brought the global economy to its knees.

70% of NFL Films and Network furloughed with a zoom meeting 3 days after Roger's warning email was sent out.
Interesting comments considering it’s Yahoo.
People have had it with this situation.
That is very true. I've encountered that.
Hes awful.
What is the topic of your book?
We must reject the use of the term new normal. We need to come up with something different to describe what will we will be experiencing for the next few months.
How about closed for good? Being in my 60’s having a business is no longer worthwhile, profitable or enjoyable. Time to not participate in this economy and society and head to a more peaceful life in the Northern woods. Enough is enough. Become as self sufficient as possible.
I call it the
"New ABnormal"
I see so much civil disobedience in other states but here in MA. everyone just seems to be going along with all of Baker’s orders.
We keep a boat on the South Shore and yesterday we got a long list of things we’re forbidden to do this summer. We’re allowed only 2 people on the boat and they must be family members. I think that now that the weather is getting better he will, hopefullly, have a revolt on his hands.
It’s a little book on cat behavior and actual cat training. Currently out to the art department, coding, and marketing folks.
Worked with a publishing house on it using ‘big data’ to determine what cat owner’s are actually looking for in a book on cat behavior. Lots of books out there, but still people are not getting the answers they want.
Cats have staff.
What cats are looking for is training material for their staffers.
😸
yes...often times it is more a matter of training the owners than the cat!
Just told a potential client her attack cat was actually sick and needed to see her vet. Happens way more than cat owners realize.
That was excellent advice. I’m amazed at how many pet people immediately think discipline problem before ruling out health issues.
Let me know when your book comes out and I’ll buy a copy.
I need some brownie points with my boss!
I wish you great success. People have certainly spent a lot of time with their pets these days. Their cats and dogs are probably more appreciated than ever.
How about the current ABnormal which would imply that it is temporary. ... maybe the temporary ABnormal. ?
One of my son’s teen friends (who I hadn’t met) walked into my house a couple of days ago and immediately came over to me and offered his hand. I shook it without hesitation. I think he was testing me to see if I was a “Karen.”
I hope handshaking continues. I was just careful to not touch my face until I washed my hands later on—but I didn’t rush to.
I do think the time has come to cease handshaking in church. Never got the point of that.
Democrats and their trial lawyer allies will never allow that. COVID-19suits are a gigantic future revenue source for both of them.
If it follows historical trends, large companies can post carefully-crafted legal notices and avoid all action by maintaining a large, in-house legal team ready to fight back hard - while small companies will get sued into oblivion.
We have a small boat here in CA, and we have the same rule: everyone on the boat must be family members.
Well, looking around at the boats in the Sacramento Delta area (and the marinas are packed), there’s an AWFUL lot of “families” that seem to be either all grown men or sets of couples, etc.

We sold/closed on our property and are in process of purchasing another. Every document has so far been through Digi-Sign.
The first closing was held in the title company parking lot and recorded on cell phones. We did physically sign for transfer of title. Documents handed through a car window. Check was paper. Had to make a bank appointment for deposit, which was held with three of us in a large conference room while the rest of the bank was empty.
So, some paper involved, but it was minimal and distanced.
You can no longer deduct home offices so can you invoice your employer for utilities?
