As if they "passed away peacefully of natural causes" - instead of being gunned down mercilessly by a black criminal.

This virus episode shows everyone clearly that we are forced to behave outside the Constitutions, federal or state, by those who receive the mantle of power through the party nominating them or getting them appointed.
I should have looked up the locations before commenting. I live in Virginia and sometimes forget how close things can be together in the smaller states of the northeast.
The basic intent of the comment is still valid. If they knew each other from previous dealings, it is difficult to imagine the shooter choosing to do the deed in the cemetery (or even knowing when they would be there) as opposed to revenge killing them in their own home (or in Elkton where they all lived).
That’s what is making me think the couple was just the unlucky victims who crossed paths with an out-of-control man who had chosen that day/time/place to act on his anger. This actually makes it worse than if he had a specific grievance against them. Then their murders truly are random and devoid of rational explanation.
No charges at all because the killer is dead.

I was responding to a specific post regarding the condition of this area (described as a “toilet”).
Not sure why an elderly person would want to live in a drug/violence infested hole (assuming these descriptions are correct).
I thought about that later and figured that’s where you were going. I don’t know Elkton well but I don’t think the whole town is methhead central.
I live about 30 miles south of there. Our town has a similar reputation. In reality, the vast majority of problems are in about a six square block area.
When I bought my house I called the police to ask about the neighborhood. He said “I don’t know. We never go there.”
We maybe see a patrol car once every 3-4 months.
Dead eyes.
