It’s hard to believe anyone out there is stupid enough to
back something like this. And if the goal is to destroy
the United States, it actually proves my point.

Bill has 10% deduction if you make too much.

I’m against it.
But, whether I take it or refuse it, I will have to participate in paying back this newest part of the national debt.
So, if I’m given it, I’ll accept it.

Sorta like public education. Taxed for it, might as well partake of that "free" education. But next thing you know, that benefit isn't worth the mind it's printed on.
Pretty soon, the cash benefit you get isn't going be worth much either, aside from the paper it's printed on.

If people have a job and are working they should not be getting this money.

But California is referred to as a Nation State by the governor. 5th largest economy in the world...and the groveling governor begs President Trump for $$$ while he picks and chooses which beaches can open. Any bailout should be conditioned on the resignation of the State’s loser leaders.

I’ve often said that. Give straight up 2 grand and nothing else. That would save us money.

It would come out of federal government money not states.

It would never stop at that.

Some years ago, I read Elton John was in financial trouble. He was going to have to reduce his monthly budget for cut, fresh flowers which, at that time, was $50,000 per month.

Many people would simply look to live beyond their means to acquire more luxuries so they would press politicians for continuing increases in the amounts of hand-outs.

When money is disconnected from work, there is no appreciation for any limits to welfare.

I lived frugally most of my life, so that now I can pay other people to fix my problems for me. :)

THe plan would be to take if from all the piecemeal charity programs. In the end, a person wouldn’t necessarily get more from the government, they simply wouldn’t have to fill out a million forms and work with a dozen agencies.

Every single person gets it, but then taxes will likely be raised so that those who didn’t get help before, will pay additional tax equivalent to the payout. So for most of us, we’d get $15,000, and then pay if back to the government.

But when you fall on hard times, you still have this base pay, enough to hopefully still pay your insurance and living and buy food.

It is an interesting concept, once you have decided that there’s no way to get rid of welfare.

A fundamental problem with this UBI is that the people pushing it have near or at zero knowledge on the history of money in general and in the US in particular, nor how money works. I would be not one of them could describe how the Federal Reserve is set up, nor explain how it operates. In fact most people can’t, and those that can would have a difficult time explaining clearly how the federal reserve actually operates, how it creates money out of nothing.

15080/year, or rounded down to 15K/year = working at $7.25/hr for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks. The federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr. This is a backdoor, Trojan horse to the $15/hr minimum wage. This is a Trojan horse for eventual government dictating how much money 90% of the people will get to be “paid” to ensure “equality”. There will also be “free” health care, education (indoctrination), etc. I never trust nor believe any “good” idea put forth by demonkraps, liberals, leftists, socialists, communists.

You are right. This at least now won’t happen. In ten years, possibly if the country continues down the path they are on and craziesiez like AOC become the norm.
