Go read about how so many are actually spending their “stimulus” and it will make you sick. We have always seen this welfare fraud. A universal income will destroy the nation. I feel so sick and sad for out children and those who are losing fortunes and retirements already.
Calm yourself. We had a single president double the national debt during a long recession. Immediately after we had a record-setting economic boom. If that doesn't point to the national debt woes as pure political fearmongering, then I don't know what does.

But, whether I take it or refuse it, I will have to participate in paying back this newest part of the national debt.

I count $2.62 Trillion per year spent at the Federal level for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all other welfare programs.
There are 331 million Americans alive today. If we gave all of them $2,000 per month, that would cost $7.944 Trillion per year.
If we excluded everyone making $100,000 or more, you get $7.217 Trillion. If we exclude everyone under 18, we’re at $5.485 Trillion. It we cut the value in half to $1,000 per month just for those over 18 making under $100,000 per year, we get $2.743 Trillion.
My personal living expenses don't amount to anything near 24k/yr. Food, clothing, shelter, taxes, fuel, insurance; not much else.
It's astonishing to me that anyone thinks a person making $120k/yr needs an income subsidy from the govt.

Full disclosure, I only quickly scanned the article, however I did not notice the word...CITIZEN, meaning that illegal aliens would get our hard-earned money (and that of our kids and grandkids) too. (Can you say, "storm the border with hoards of illegals to cash in on this one"?)

A family of 4 would get 8k mo. Then 1k a month per person for a year. No mtge or rent payments.
