One-time Major League Baseball star Darryl Strawberry is stepping to the plate for President Trump’s reelection.
Strawberry – who gained fame in the 1980s as the slugger who helped the New York Mets win a World Series – is one of the three guests taking part Thursday night in a Trump campaign live webcast titled "Faith in America: Black Voices for Trump" that’s being hosted by senior adviser Katrina Pierson.
The baseball legend – who later in his career played for the crosstown rival New York Yankees as they won three championships in the mid to late 1990s – has long been a Trump fan and a friend.

Darryl destroyed himself for a chapter, but now he is an upright man. He was freaky good as an athlete.

I once saw him hit 3 home runs in his first 3 at bats in a game for the Yankees, in his 4th at bat he was out on a deep fly ball.
Not shock at all, Darryl is a man of faith along with his wife. I loved him during his time with the Mets. I am glad he changed for the better and now he has his own ministry serving the Lord.

I honestly thought he had died several years ago.
He was a good guy even when he was on the stuff. No shortage of his autographs around. The eighties Mets were a very talented team and barely won one title because they were so into booze, drugs, and chasing skirts.
Can he bring his pal Dwight Gooden with him to the rally? What a shock that would be.
I was shocked to find out Katrina was black - I just didn't see it, but if she says so....
Anyway, I think there are a lot more blacks who support Trump than the media realizes (or cares to admit), they just don't advertise it because of the "stigma".
