“Abbott bans jailing citizens for lockdown violations”

Should be both a Federal and State Executive Order, across the board.

Probably nothing. Abbott needed to have made sure his rules did not allow jailing for lockdown violations in the first place. Good to see he rectified this quickly - idiots like Newsome in my state of California would be grandstanding on this while liberals tried to smear the jailed salon owner.

Any public official who acosts a business owner and stops commerce should be guilty of a treason like crime. Including judges.

“Abbott bans jailing citizens for lockdown violations”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After he issued the executive order the judge used to lock her up.
This is still squarely the Governor’s fault.
2cd degree felony. No legal basis for the illegal restraint. Judge should be in jail.
Nope. He was following the lead and direction of the President, as did other governors in putting safety measure into effect.
How they are enforced is another matter, though it should have been addressed at the same time that there should be no jail time involved. Except where the person is violent in their lawbreaking.
Yeah. Dallas taxpayers about to find out electing these morons will cost more than they anticipated.
Oh. The judge will be part of the Civil rights air too. He told her she should have hired a lawyer instead of being selfish. He might want to obtain his own counsel now.
Also, might see a federal action brought too.
She’s a hero
The time is right now where the main battle is going on between the Democrats and America
Between shut down morons and business owners
Between the totakitarian state and people that just want to congregate and praise Jesus
Between those that want to just run their bar and restaurant - and the totalitarian scumbag loser Democrats
The battle for America is on it’s on right now and we will only go on for a little while until this virus is dead dead dead and gone gone gone which is coming very soon !
it will be over very soon. We turned the corner April 16.
Had Abbott acted in accordance with Article IV, Section 8(a) of the state Constitution in the first place, none of this would have happened.
Yet here we are 6 weeks later, operating by decree. At least the boot on Texans’ necks is nicely polished......
"Nope. He was following the lead and direction of the President, as did other governors in putting safety measure into effect."
I don't recall Pres. Trump ever mentioning fines and/or incarceration. He made suggestions regarding safety measures.
