Did the state legislature pass a law that she is now violating? Because these feels like she is now in jail because the governor “said so”. It’s just my opinion, but I don’t think that’s how this is supposed to work.

Seems absolutely ironic that they would put her in jail because she is not afraid of COVID-19, all the while releasing people already in jail out of fear of contracting COVID-19.
Her exact words were that she was not being selfish as the judge accused her, but doing this to feed her children which is not selfish.
This is the stuff of which vigilantism and revolution are made.
The judge is hidebound to rule of law. There is no excuse to not follow rule of law. Ask any ule of law person how inmportant it is to respect and apply the rule of law.
If this woman gets away with it, it sends the message that rule of law can be disrespected with impunity. Rule of law people believe it is valuable to make examples of people who do not follow the rule of law.

What needs to happen is the GoFundMe money be used to fund appeals all the way to the us supreme Court where a ruling on this case can be heard. These mayor’s, governors, and judges proclamations need to be within a higher law. A declaration of some medical emergency may or may not permit the suspension of the Constitution and bor. I don’t recall reading anything in either document stating they are temporary and can be over ridden with impunity. Courts need to rule so going forward everyone plays by the same set of rules.
