The mother of the man who was beaten to the ground by an NYPD cop during a social distancing tussle in the East Village said Monday that her son suffered “physical damage” as a result of the “horrific” encounter.

This time, I felt sorry for the man who got the beat-down.
It appears all he was doing was looking.
There may have been some ‘smart-mouthing’ done to the officer. That doesn’t justify tripping, then knocking the guy’s shoes off his feet.
Didn’t seem like much of a beat down to me. I’ve endured worse.
What would anyone be a NY cop? The mayor and his administration hates you. They are just waiting to make you a scapegoat. Many neighborhoods (or at least their loudest voices) also hate you and don’t want you around.

I read earlier he was recording video on his phone which the cop objected to. Things escalated quickly from there.
Cops hate the concept of the militia being in charge of defending the country, they would rather obey the orders of an invading Chinewe army
