Hundreds of Missouri Residents Fear Consequences of 'Snitching' on Coronavirus Rulebreakers After Information Leaks Online

Now, some of those who snitched may be worried these business owners may show up at their homes or businesses, and Totsch said he thinks that's just too bad.

"If they are worried about retaliation, they should have read the fine print which stated their tips would be open public record subject to a Sunshine request, and should not have submitted tips in that manner, to begin with," Totsch said. He added that he released the information to discourage this kind of behavior in the future.

In March and April, St. Louis County officials encouraged residents to report businesses online that were not following the state's lockdown rules during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Those "anonymous reports" led St. Louis County authorities to issue citations to 29 businesses.

Totsch claimed that those who had "snitched" to local authorities caused job losses to others.

Is this the birthplace of Gladys Cravitz?

People rag on Gladys, but she was generally right, and I don’t recall her ever calling the police. She simply kvetched to Abner.

Do what they did in France to those that colluded with the Germans after France was liberated

Missouri has 118 counties, 76 of which have had fewer than 10 CV cases. Sixteen have had none. Forty counties have at least 1 CV death; of those, 20 have had only one. 78 counties have had no deaths. 86% of the deaths have occurred in five counties.

These kinds of stats probably hold true in most states, many of which are still on total lockdown.

I love your profile page.

And to the topic, snitches are the worst of the worst. Really, I mean, absolutely no one likes them. Probably even in prison, they rank somewhere just a bit higher than child pedophiles, who are dead the minute they walk in there.

:Stumble, stunned:

Friend: “What the matter, Grand Master Grimmy?”

Me: “I felt a disturbance in the Farce. It was as if hundreds of Karens cried out in fear!”

The whole point of using “Karen” is to drive home the point that 98% of the people that act this way have a vagina.

How about Jonathans?

Around the time of our War of Independence and the War of 1812, “Jonathan” was a name used by the Brits for Americans in general.

Today, however, it seems that it’s a name borne mainly by Ivy League wimps and wussies.

Right off the top of my head, I can think of left-wing media propagandists Jonathan Karl and Jonathan Chait.

Please, FRiends, I’d like your opinions on this — along with your nominations for other objectionable Jonathans.

I might also note, parenthetically, that I’ve always found Karen to be a perfectly innocuous female name.

However, I certainly know the sort of whiny, entitled, demanding harpies who are now covered by this meme. I just think whoever started it could have come up with a better name.

There are way too many Karens and honestly, we should come up with a name for the male version too.

I’d go with Todd or Darren - and a man-bun would be required in any visual representation.

It’s as simple as reminding them, frequently, that they live among us.

A police officer blithely trampling citizens’ Constitutional rights should be asked who is the sheepdog for his family when he or she is out and busy with such activities.

Remembering them when they come into our places of business, when fortunate enough to be given permission to reopen, and shunning them, would help drive the point home.

I found the “snitch list” on dropbox. It’s a single PDF containing all the emails. Some are innocuous asking if their businesses can continue to operate. The best are those who are reporting their own employers. Many are drive by snitching. Men and women are doing the snitching.
