Missouri has 118 counties, 76 of which have had fewer than 10 CV cases. Sixteen have had none. Forty counties have at least 1 CV death; of those, 20 have had only one. 78 counties have had no deaths. 86% of the deaths have occurred in five counties.

These kinds of stats probably hold true in most states, many of which are still on total lockdown.

Gov. Coonman Northam here in Virginia said today that he will not have regional exceptions to the lockdown because it would promote disunity.

The vast majority of our cases are here in the DC metro area and down by Norfolk, with the rest of the state doing very well. By coincidence, those badly hit areas are the Dim strongholds with lots of employed government workers who aren’t suffering from income loss. His decision is obviously purely political, but no one will call him out on it.
