VP Pence concedes: 'I should've worn a mask' at Mayo Clinic

Vice President Pence addressed his decision not to wear a mask at his visit to the Mayo Clinic last week during Fox News' virtual town hall Sunday, telling moderators Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum that he "should have worn a mask" despite the fact that he and everyone around him have been tested for the virus regularly.

"From early on the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] made it clear you wear a mask to prevent you from conveying the coronavirus to other people, and since the president and I are in the unique position... we're tested often, I didn't think it was necessary," Pence said.

"But, I should have worn a mask at the Mayo Clinic and I wore it when I visited the ventilator plant in Indiana."

The VP is the past...if the GOP wants to survive they need people like Trump in the future.

Yup, totally agree. Jim Jordan comes to mind. I’ve been following him since the whole Russia thing started four years ago.he is a dedicated hard worker and a patriot. He is on top of every aspect of that conspiracy and took dems to task during the hearings.

One of Marcus Aurelius’s cardinal virtues was courage. Without it, all the other virtues fail under duress. Pence has never struck me as a courageous man. His career indicates that he is largely a self interested operator. He craves MSM approval, always has and probably always will. I hope Trump finds a better successor in 2024.

My guess is that Pence knows that the protectiveness of the mask is being greatly overhyped, and that deep state doctors like FauXi and all the petty tyrants in state and local governments are using the mask as a tool to control the increasingly restive masses.

Was this a subtle signal on his part?

The Mayo Clinic is one of the few places where everyone should wear a mask.

There are WAY worse germs than Rona floating around in that place.

Pence reminds me of Wayne Gretzky — the greatest hockey player of all time, by any objective measure.

Trump reminds me of Mark Messier — who wasn’t nearly as talented as Gretzky but was an absolute troll on the ice and in the locker room.

The Edmonton Oilers dynasty of the 1980s didn’t end after Gretzky was traded. It ended after Messier was traded.

Not unless they required it. He should have checked, but there’s no need to grovel.

I suspect if there is no apology, or responsibility, even in part, for 67,000 dead of our fellow Americans, there will never be an apology for even 100,000 dead, or even 200,000 dead by President Donald J. Trump. NEVER APOLOGIZE. CORRECT

Direct from the Mayo Clinic website, and lining up with the memo reporters in the White House Pool, including VOA's Steve Herman, all received before departing for Mayo:

"Face mask now required at Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System are requiring all staff, patients and visitors to wear a face covering or mask to slow the spread of COVID-19. Please bring your own face mask or covering to wear while at one of our facilities. A limited amount of face masks may be available to patients and visitors. Remember, visitor restrictions are still in effect. Consult the "Visitor Restrictions" section lower on this page for more details. "

Total YES-MAN. The way he grovels before his boss, parrots every word, kisses his butt, proves it. It reminds me of a lot of YES-MEN I encountered in senior executive business.

I think he responded fine and did more than a Democrat would ever do., but then again, they would have never asked a Democrat in the first place. It was a gotcha question, as they all were,

I’m amazed that Mnuchin has such a stunning wife or is it girlfriend. Not sure if he’s married. He must be doing something right. I rather like the guy myself.
