The press has been gushing about the performance of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for weeks. The media often compares Cuomo’s “decisive” response to the coronavirus pandemic to the president, and guess who always wins?
Whether it’s good PR from the governor’s office or just the media worshipping a liberal who says mean things about Donald Trump, it hardly matters. What matters is results. And in that department, Andrew Cuomo has been a miserable failure — using several metrics.
And it’s not just the numbers. The panicky, sometimes hysterical New York governor began whining about the federal government (specifically the president) not doing anything to help the states with getting medical supplies. Back in March, he kept saying he needed 30-40,000 ventilators. And when Trump pointed out that was silly, he accused the president of being an unfeeling monster.

You mean screaming and crying about 30000 ventilators and forcing old people back into nursing homes isn’t a good response?
Cuomo and De Blasio are so painful to watch. Cuomo especially has an awful voice, like fingernails on a chalkboard. Every time I see Cuomo or De Blasio on TV, I turn it off.

Cuomo waited and waited to close and has a plan to reopen.
I’ve been out and about in Staten Island and Brooklyn and Manhattan and only half the people are wearing masks and there are lots of people in the parks.
He’s not ordered some fascist crackdown.
Yeah we got hit hard but we’re the business capital of the US with MANY, MANY more international visitors than some hick, hillbilly city.

Cuomo should be investigated for the order to send COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes not equipped to handle the virus. Also, were his preparations adequate for the pandemic?

But I do not understand the people who think Cuomo will replace him. Cuomo had performed horribly this year on the most important issue. Why give him a promotion?

I’d like to know why Cuomo gets such wide media attention? My son who loves in Los Angeles says he’s on every night with his rambling updates. What possible reason does the MSM have for national coverage if it isn’t to offer him up as a Trump comparison? How is this news? It’s partisan politics.
He is never asked to explain why the death toll in NYS and particularly NYC is the worst in the world in terms of deaths per million.. Right now the state figure is double Spain and Italy. He didn’t flatten the curve; he inflated it.
Another loser epic failure is NJ Governor Murphy. 79% of our Covid 19 deaths in my county are all nursing home related. I think he should be added to the nursing home Covid investigation.
