Fearpers on steroids.
This doesn’t make sense. Brazil is hot and humid. The very conditions that are supposed to abate the virus activity this summer in the US.
They have a president who is a lot like President Trump, and the liberal media want to trash him as does our media.
“Although conditions in São Paulo, the largest city in South America, and Rio de Janeiro, are not as dire”
This little tidbit thrown in after the hysteria headline is rather important wouldn’t you say?
Yeah, maybe not a good idea to live in corrugated tin shacks by the millions.
Remember it’s winter there now, May to August, as they are in the southern hemisphere.
President of Brazil has been a major denier of the covid, no attempts to mitigate
my thoughts as well...
Doesn’t Brazil have some horrific slums. I bet the health of people squatting (can’t really call it living) in them is not optimal. I would also ask how much alcoholism is considered a factor in contacting the virus and the immune system inability to fight it off.
Its just more fake news. They have 30 deaths per million population. We have 200. Total cases they have 436 cases per million population. We have 3434. Just more fear uncertainty doubt aka FUD.
Without running water or municipal sewer or closed septic system.
Triple the normal burials?
Not good, but that doesnt sound like the end of the world.
If it was 10X or 20X normal, that would be really bad.
they are heading into their fall...so no. My guess is the humidity is falling off enough to allow for the virus to be airborn. Sao Paulo is only barely at 50% humidity today...with rain. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/S%C3%A3o+Paulo+S%C3%A3o+Paulo+Brazil?canonicalCityId=d7593e91d7e1447404d3a75fc1f7e0513bfcc5bdd74b81f6b4299f68b5689392
What humidity is needed to stop Covid-19? Well it depends on your cleanliness and air circulation.
We are going to see a second wave with minor outbreaks over the summer. So...be prepared for a long winter season.
How did the virus get there in the first place? I doubt there are many jet-setters in that village.
Do you work for MSNBC?
You would think that Rio would be one of the hardest hit city.
Exactly
No Herd immunity?
Send Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx down there to help.
Then revoke their passports.
