Like the French, many Italians drink wine with meals. Wine is a source of Zinc. They most likely have plasma Zinc levels higher on average than we do here.

HCQ pushes Zinc from blood plasma into cells, so if the Zinc is already there, then no need for a Zn supplement.

The flat cells lining blood vessels have ACE2 receptor sites. The virus attaches at ACE2 sites to enter the cell. HCQ attaches at ACE2 sites to ferry ZINC into the cells, stopping the replication of virus which kills the epithelial cells. The busted cells cause clotting, so the hCQ tends to reduce the potential for this clotting in the lower pressure vessels like arteriole. And yup the wine drinking does up the circulating zinc.

The Heprin is to deal with the potential clotting factor.

Nuts such as pine nuts, peanuts, cashews and almonds can boost your intake of zinc, besides red meat, and nuts are cheaper than meat and have less saturated fats which clogs arteries.

No sure of your report that red wine is a significant source of zinc. The figures I’ve looked up indicate that for a typical serving size of 4 fl oz (or 119 g) the amount of Zinc is 0.16 mg. That’s only about 1% of RDA for an adult man.
