*snip*
While the country as a whole has successfully flattened the curve, it has yet to show the extended period of decline necessary to declare ourselves out of the woods a squashing of the curve.

It’s been Ground Hog Day for six weeks for me.
Yes, enough time has passed, the curve has flattened, we have all sorts of hospital capacity and “ventilators,” we know more about the nature of the virus and can test for it, and now we’re being played.
I wouldn't be questioning the yutes...I question we oldsters....turns out we've got the biggest wimps imaginable in our generation....biggest wimps and biggest totalitarians as long as they keep getting their govt check...
people had better wake up...
covid is serious, very serious, but the over reaction is the death knell to our country...we are ripe for takeover by leftist totalitarians...
So eat in restaurants are closed, henceforth and forevermore?
Liberty, not safety.
Eat at your own risk.
F being "safe"!
Ive been trying to flatten the curve around my waist. Think i’ll have to quarantine the M&Ms.
Our hospital closed down. Temporary closure until in and out patient appointments come back.
I don’t see where Singapore is out of control. It has had more than 14,000 cases, and out of that, a total of only 14 people who died. A mortality rate of less than 0.1% Out of a population of about six million, that’s about 0.0002%.
He said that to keep people from buying masks because there was a shortage for the healthcare providers and first responders.
The CDC has now recommended face coverings for everyone.
Oh so he lied. Well thats inspiring.
The o ly thing that is going to squash the curve is a good vaccine. Democrat politicians accepting HCQ/zinc/z-pack combo would flatten the curve further.
They were doing well initally but they didnt pay attention to living conditions of their immigrants so that's where the disease gained a foothold.
Well he had to lie so he could save the lives of our health professionals and first responders. And remember, we cannot trust the government.
Linear plots of this are pretty useless. Please show a logarithmic plot.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/singapore/
The logarithmic plot of cases in Singapore show it’s flattened the curve, and the deaths per day for the last month are pretty much constant at 1 per day, +/- 1.
Sometimes the mask slips, eh? Good catch!
God Bless your mother. She sounds like a strong, sensible woman with spunk.
She is spot on. We HAVE to open the country. There’s no alternative.
A Great Depression will kill more people than this virus ever could.
I’m so sick of the fear mongers comparing the WuFlu to diseases such as the Spanish Flu. The Spanish Flu was an absolute horror show and a virus to fear. The WuFlu isn’t even in the same category. It’s a bad cold compared to the Spanish Flu.
An interesting observation from the Spanish Flu pandemic: Patients in the Open Air Field Hospitals were three times more likely to survive the virus and healed much quicker. The fresh air and sunshine helped kill the virus.
That fact alone should be a strong argument against the draconian lockdowns.
Best of luck to you and your mother.
BTW, today was my mother’s 78th Birthday. She would kill me if she knew that I revealed that on a public forum, LOL.
The point of the lockdowns was to keep the hospitals from overflowing. That has been done and I’m grateful. Things are starting to open up and I hope folks will be careful.
People will still get sick and die. And if the numbers start rising to the point of threatening the hospital system again, things will start to shut down again.
Masks do not stop the spread
Oh but the linear looks SO much scarier. Gotta use the linear doncha know.
