(Reuters) - The U.S. agency that enforces civil rights laws against disability discrimination said on Thursday that companies can test employees for COVID-19 before permitting them to enter the workplace as long as the tests are accurate and reliable.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) last month said employers may take workers temperatures without violating the the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), but Thursdays guidance appears to authorize a broader array of testing options.

Eff them and the horse they rode in on.
Pending multiple lawsuits.
We have a choice..get rid of all these oppressive agencies or accept a lower standard of living.
“Testing options”....including up your nose with a rubber hose?
See you in court then. Don’t see how this will hold.

Of course it will hold up. Every company has an obligation to ensure a safe work space. Testing employees for the virus is fully justified.
Okay.
So are they going to test everybody for AIDS?
For the Flu?
For every single infectious disease?
If not, why not?
And don’t tell me coronavirus is more deadly than the flu. As we are finding out, it’s actually one tenth as deadly as the flu plus almost all coronavirus dead are old folks with preexisting conditions who have long since retired and are not even working.
I cant even give a prospective employee an IQ test.

.... now youre talkin.
Obama packed the EEOC with far left activists.
I’d send them packing on permanent duty on Pluto with no return ticket.
This is yet another attempt by far left Dem activists to delay the economic recovery as long as they can.
“...as long as the tests are accurate and reliable...”
How are they going to check for asymptomatic carriers ?
Those folks don’t have temperatures or any symptoms, other than antibodies.
How are employers going to screen for those people at the entrance to the building?
And antibodies are exactly how they will test. The company my wife works for is already doing antibody tests, and is finding a significant number of employees already have had it, either with mild or no symptoms.
"How are employers going to screen for those people at the entrance to the building?"
They will depend on the employees being tested before they show up at the entrance. Got antibodies...come to work as usual. No antibodies...wear a mask and gloves or stay home.
“its actually one tenth as deadly as the flu”
You’re not very good at math.
Actually, math is something I am rather good at.
You are going to need to keep up with the latest research that came out of LA county and then New York.
They’ve been posted here quite a few times.
I’ve been keeping up. The flu doesn’t kill 400,000 people a year, regardless.
Does that cover queer, muslim, trans-sexual, and 57-genders?
Okey.
So a factory with say 5,000 employees. ..how long are they going to have to wait in line for all these tests every day before they actually start producing anything? ( coronavirus tests are only good for one day if that. You can get infected on the subway back home after testing negative)
Are they going to be paid if they spend say 4 hours in line before working?
How is that going to affect their productivity fir example?
It’s not the numerator. It’s the denominator.
