Vice President Mike Pence said Thursday that he thinks the coronavirus pandemic could "largely" be "behind us” by Memorial Day Weekend.
“Am I going to be on my boat and fishing in early June, Mr. Vice President?” Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera asked Pence on his radio show.
“If you look at the trends today, I think by Memorial Day Weekend we will largely have this coronavirus epidemic behind us,” said Pence, who is chair of the White House coronavirus task force. “State and local officials will begin to reopen activities, you’re going to see states ahead here begin to do that.”

My worry is does this blasted thing just stay latent forever or does it start its jihad at any time after infection??
There’s very little likelihood that millions of people haven’t already been at least exposed to it. Seriously, this is fully airborne like the flu and remains on surfaces for long periods of time. That’s extremely contagious.

The first thing that had concerned me was funerals. Ironic. Anyone who dies - regardless of reason - basically has no funeral, or a restricted funeral. Wonder how the funeral homes are handling it.
I'm not a stats person but I work with numbers my entire life. I see wave like patterns in the numbers. So like when you stand near the ocean while the tide is going in or out you will get some waves that are high. If there are waves they might be attributed to how reporting is done, how doctors make care determinations and other factors. I think a rolling average is necessary to evaluate patterns.
As long as NYC has one case, we all must stay shut down.

All Pence is doing here is telling his boss (POTUS) what he wants to hear.
There’s precisely a ZERO chance this will “all be behind us” by Memorial day. I wish that would indeed happen, but absolutely no way we go from current situation to totally under control by Memorial day.
I have a lot more respect for people who aren’t afraid to tell their boss things they DON’T want to hear..Pence is definitely not one of those people, though. And it looks like POTUS has been on a tear lately icing people that tell him something different than he wants to hear..just look at the guy heading up the Vaccine research area the other. Disagree about Hydroxychloroquine? (Which, BTW, I know from first hand family experience DOES work). You’re fired! Well, technically shoveled off to some other obscure corner of government..but, still..out of the way, so he can no longer tell POTUS something he doesn’t want to hear..
And so will the economy. We are toast and so is Trump. Deep State wins. Civil war?
If we actually had the CW happen or at least rebellion, I would prefer that to anarchy and free for all where everyone kills and eats each other.
Because the national prison lockdown was not designed to remain in place until there are absolutely no cases and the disease is eradicated.. It was designed so the medical system would not become overwhelmed. The hospital ships are going back to home port, hospitals are closed down across America, nurses are making TickTock dance videos. Nothing is even close to overwhelmed.
More people tested=more cases doesn’t mean more were infected. We have become a weak and pathetic society. If all todays soy boys were around in the WWII era they would be lampshades.
Will be over by memorial day? The economy? Completely dead and flatlined? Or is he talking about that cold from China that is less lethal than the flu?
Infection with a pathogen varies from person to person. Millions of people got infected with polio, and thousands out of those millions died. The reality though was that the paralysis and/or death could be you or your child.
And I saw a headline today that Fauci says it will be back in the fall.
They gotta get rid of this guy - or maybe he will be their eventual whipping boy?
He’s causing too much trouble in the present to be worth keeping.
It’s been behind me since around the first of April.. it’s all overblown BS on a virus no worse than the flu.
What we have learned is how the sheeple will obey and that’s going to cost far more than this BS virus ever will.
