Seems odd they would send the ship away?
They just issued a standing DNR for anyone who has a heart attack! I thought that ship was there for people who didn’t have the virus, but still needed critical care?

Well, we’ve flattened the curve, but it’s a monster, it’s still out there, and the peak will be in 2 weeks!!! (That’s a sliding timescale, so whenever you ask, the peak will be in two weeks from that time). Furthermore, there will be a 2nd wave, and a 3rd wave, and who knows how many more waves. This thing is mutating, morphing and killing people all over!!!! Run, hide, stay under your bed, it’s your only chance.
Or, you could say it’s a nasty bug with a 98%+ survival rate that doesn’t seem to be as transmissible as once thought. But where is the panic fun in that? Not to mention, letting go of the panic kills any slim chance slow Joe has in November.
Well, it’s always nice to know that New Yorkers are sooooo appreciative of federal govt resources and the support they get from taxpayers in the rest of the country. I know they’ll find a way to make it up to us.
