The anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine has been working in COVID-19 patients, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert Wilkie said on Wednesday.
Wilkie’s comments come after a study looking at the effects of the drug in 368 patients in Veterans Health Administration hospitals found no evidence the drug is effective against COVID-19, a new disease caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.
Responding to the results during an appearance on MSNBC, Wilkie said, “That’s just an observational study. It’s not a clinical study. It was done on a small number of veterans; sadly, those of whom were in the last stages of life, and the drug was given to them.”
The drug “has been working on middle-age and younger veterans,” Wilkie added. By that, he meant that it was “stopping the progression of” COVID-19.
The study in question can help inform doctors who are caring for veterans who have the CCP virus, Wilkie said.
Doctors across the nation have been prescribing hydroxychloroquine but there are a number of concerns about its effectiveness and, if it proves effective, medical workers want to pinpoint the correct dosage information and other matters regarding how and when to prescribe it.
Clinical trials of hydroxychloroquine are underway in Minnesota, Tennessee, and New York. Andrew Cuomo, the governor of the Empire State, asked for more doses of the drug to be delivered to New York City while in the Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump, according to Wilkie.
Also this week, doctors and experts on a panel created by the National Institutes of Health said they were recommending against using hydroxychloroquine in combination with azithromycin, an antibiotic also known as Z-Pak.

Just look up Dr David Brownstein and his blog on coronavirus. He proposes a simple protocol for treatment at home. If it gets in one’s lungs, need to follow a nebulizer protocol as well. Everyone should have a bottle of each item he proposes. Likely costs less than $200 for everything

If Pres. Trump had been skeptical of it, the stuff would be mandatory by now.

Flooding the news today is the “failed hydroxychloroquine trial,” and it’s all a scam. Just wow. The VA trial was a faulty trial that was designed to fail (presumably so Trump haters could cheer). The trail didn’t include zinc in the protocol. Every reputable doctor such as New York Dr. Zelenko combines hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, and zinc. Without zinc it does nothing. Hydroxychloroquine facilitates the transport of zinc into the cell. Zinc inhibits the transcription of the RNA in the virus. Only an idiot would do a trial on hydroxychloroquine without zinc (unless they wanted the trial to fail). The link to the trial is attached. It’s a 27 page PDF and not one mention of the word zinc. Like many effective pharma, this one has side effects in some people. Among those people, some side effects are minor, for some are major and not recommended
The critics have effectively conceded that it is effective. Their argument rests on the fact that side effects are major and not recommended for everyone for that reason, which virtually everyone agrees with.
The phrasing of the critics obfuscates the issue, probably on purpose.

Don’t you need zinc and Z pacs for max effect? HCQ drives the Zinc into the cells in question and blocks RNA replication for this virus. Zpac prevents opportunistic infections from taking advantage.
You can mail the combo to anyone. If someone has known cardio issues they can get the Redivismir by RX from their doctor.
HCQ/Zinc/Zpac is primary and Redivismir is the backup for those with contradictions to the combo.

The bigger issue is that if we have an effective treatment for this virus, the crisis is over and America goes back to work, which makes a Trump victory almost certain. The Deep State cannot allow that, even at the cost of tens of thousands of lives and a worldwide depression.

Giving HCQ to someone at that stage is the equivalent of starting someone on an antibiotic when they have gangrene halfway up their leg.
These studies are DESIGNED to fail, and SCREW those patients and everyone else with the disease, because the great objective is to defeat Trump in November. If there is also a worldwide depression, so be it. We are dealing with a massive number of truly evil people who want power at literally any price; think about what they will do if they obtain that power if they’re willing to murder tens of thousands of sick people and crash the economy.

Not true - azithromycin also has some antiviral effects.

You need to take a lot of Quercetin to match the effect of hydroxychloroquine but, yes, it accomplishes the same goal. I and my family are taking Quercetin with zinc every day. Vitamin C also stops the cytokine storm, and we are also taking large doses of that every day.
As you said, the research is out there - ALL of it linked to by FReepers over the last 2 months.
