Fitness apparel brand Lululemon is apologizing after a senior staffer promoted a T-shirt design for bat fried rice during the coronavirus pandemic.
Senior global art director Trevor Fleming, whose social media accounts now have all been deactivated, posted the design featuring a Chinese takeout box and pair of chopsticks with bat wings on his Instagram on Sunday. The design was created by California artist Jess Sluder who was selling it digitally for $60.
Where did COVID-19 come from? Nothing is certain, but we know a bat was involved, the artist wrote in a post of the design online.

You gotta love it!!!
I will have a BIG BAT with cheese and fries!!!
People have no sense of humor these days.
The Chinese are very insecure and cant handle being mocked.
They need to be. Its either their disgusting and dangerous food practices or their incompetent lab.
Also their nasty totalitarian government, which locked down internal travel from Wuhan/Hubei, while allowing air travel to the rest of the world to continue, thus infecting the world. The CCP should pay a big price.
It’s their stupid idea of “saving face” that increases their tendency to lie.
“Have you tried Beyond Bat?”
I think Norm switched to Incredible Bat.
“Its their stupid idea of saving face that increases their tendency to lie.”
And cover up mistakes, as mistakes are career killers.
I have zero doubt a lab tech did something stupid, got sprayed in the face with bat blood, then cleaned it up with vinegar and water and pretended it didn’t happen.
Tears streaming down cheeks!
“Its either their disgusting and dangerous food practices or their incompetent lab.”
“Years ago, I was told by a Chinese student that in Guangdong there are restaurants that serve live monkeys brains. They have special tables with a hole in the middle where the top of the head of the poor monkey is exposed and the top is then cracked off exposing the brain.”
One of the 7 Noahide laws (food laws of the bible applicable to all people, not just Jewish people) is to not eat the flesh of a living animal or drink its blood.
I understand this was even reiterated in the “New” testament.
Being fired for creating that tshirt design would have made me laugh. Job well done.
