A Texas judge said she was forced to remove a rainbow pride flag displayed in her courtroom after a local defense attorney filed a complaint with the State Commission on Judicial Conduct.
Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez, an out lesbian, said the agency, which investigates allegations of judicial misconduct, mandated that she also remove a pen, eyeglasses and a mouse pad with rainbow patterns, along with a sarape, a colorful traditional Mexican cloth.
It felt like they were trying to shame me and bully me into not expressing who I truly am, Gonzalez, who presides over Bexar County Court 13 in San Antonio, said. It felt like a kick in the gut.
The State Commission on Judicial Conduct told NBC News it could neither confirm nor deny anything related to the issue, citing strict confidentiality rules.
Flavio Hernandez, who confirmed he filed the complaints against Gonzalez with both the Bexar County Court and the state commission in August, said he was grieved when confronted by a rainbow flag prominently displayed in her courtroom and could not in good conscience submit himself or his clients to the implied authority of this unofficial flag symbolizing the Judges personal bias.

A judge with extensive tattoos? Doesn’t demonstrate good judgment IMHO.
A rainbow flag symbol is a political statement. No place in the courtroom.

Which Republicans were asleep at the switch when she was slipped into a judgship? And people are saying Texas will never go blue. Just like Virginia.
Why are Republicans and Conservatives not calling things out in real time? Why is it always a postmortem of 'how did this happen?'

Freud maintained the consistent view that homosexuality results only when normal and natural heterosexual development is thwarted, usually because of abnormal progression of the Oedipus Complex, an idea which he made well-known.
Regardless what you think about Freud and his Oedipus Complex, no one seems to argue with his theory that one of the main pathologies of homosexuality is extremes of inward self-loathing and outward narcissism (ie. pride).

Judging by the picture, I don’t think she needs her rainbow flag and her serape to educate others as to her beliefs.

Yeah, like that ever happens. Oh, wait...
- Dawn Gentry is accused of having threesomes in her office with her secretary and a guitar player she hired to work in the court as her case specialist
- She allegedly asked a female attorney to sleep with her husband while they were getting divorced so she could accuse him of infidelity
- Gentry, it is alleged, also asked the woman to have group sex with her and the guitar player
- Others claim they were replaced if they did not donate to her re-election campaign
- The claims are part of an investigation by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission
Family Court Judge Dawn Gentry has been hit with nine
misconduct charges by the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission

People like Speedy Gonzalez are the very ones who would screech like a little girl (well in Speedy’s case a little boy) on seeing someone in its courtroom with an America flag on his/her lapel and swoon into a faint at the sight of a cross on a lapel.

Rosie, your job is not to express who you are, your job is to uphold justice according to the federal and state constitutions.
Save your flags and such for expressing yourself on your own time.

That courtroom is a public space, not the judge’s private billboard. Taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for promoting or legitimizing her perversion.

A judge, who forces others to do her bidding, is mad because she was “forced” to do something. Okay.
