Here’s Exactly When You’ll Get Your Stimulus Check (BY MAIL with Prayers)
forbes ^ | april 21, 2020 | zack friedman

Posted on 04/21/2020 12:19:18 PM PDT by max americana

The IRS is now sending paper stimulus checks, and plans to send approximately 5 million paper checks each week. The order of stimulus checks is not random or based on geography. The IRS will send checks starting with taxpayers who have the lowest annual adjusted gross income as reported on their 2018 or 2019 tax return, whichever is more recent. Here is the planned weekly schedule for the IRS to mail stimulus checks based on annual adjusted gross income, as first reported by The Washington Post. All dates represent the “week ending” (for example, the week ending April 24) and the IRS could change this schedule at any time.

Less than $10,000: April 24 $10,001 - $20,000: May 1 $20,001 - $30,000: May 8 $30,001 - $40,000: May 15 $40,001 - $50,000: May 22 $50,001 - $60,000: May 29 $60,001 - $70,000: June 5 $70,001 - $80,000: June 12 $80,001 - $90,000: June 19 $90,001 - $100,000: June 26 $100,001 - $110,000: July 3 $110,001 - $120,000: July 10 $120,001 - $130,000: July 17

Mine should have been direct deposited as the IRS has my bank account number, and I am definitely in the eligible range. Don’t really understand why there’s been nothing yet. But it is the government we’re talking about here, after all.

What gets me is this: the IRS says they will send your stimulus to the account where they sent your refund, ie, where they have your direct deposit information. I owed $17 and the IRS debited my account for that amount. Evidently, the IRS distinguishes between direct deposit and direct debit information. Something only a lawyer would appreciate.

We don’t file because we’re on ss. I do not understand why we haven’t had ours deposited in our bank. They said that is how we would get it. Has anyone here in the the same situation gotten theirs, yet? (Of course, the article says NOTHING about situations like ours.)

“I didn’t even want it, if it gets here, it gets here.”

If you get it, donate to a conservative who has a chance of beating a dim. AFTER, you donate some to FR of course!

No, my husband was on ss for disability, NOT sis. SSI is usually a pretty small amount, but he gets what he would have gotten had he retired at full age.

I have friends who are in the very same situation. The IRS happily takes money away but direct deposit? Zilch. They already surrendered to accepting the stimulus paper check..

One year my son got a letter from the IRS explaining his refund check was delayed because (wait for it) they did not have a current address for him.

Thanks for the info. But we’re still celebrating Pascha here, this being Renewal Week.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bright_Week

Now we can know when to expect our stimulus checks, and I can stop cursing out the IRS for refusing to allow me to give them my direct deposit info. That’s all in the spirit of Renewal Week!

Christ is Risen!! Indeed He is Risen!!!!

Thank you. I have checked there, and this is the answer:

. You are not required to file a tax return and will automatically receive a $1,200 Payment if you received Social Security retirement, SSDI, survivors benefits, SSI, or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2019. You do not need to contact the IRS, Social Security Administration (SSA), or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB). The IRS will use the information from your 2019 benefits to generate a Payment to you if you did not file tax returns in 2018 or 2019. You will receive your Payment as a direct deposit or by mail, just as you would normally receive your federal benefits.

We get ours as direct deposits, but if the direct deposit recipients are done, and the rest will be mailed, why didn’t we get ours? Our friends haven’t gotten theirs, either.

I think the answer lies in the following:

The IRS is now sending paper stimulus checks, and plans to send approximately 5 million paper checks each week. The order of stimulus checks is not random or based on geography. The IRS will send checks starting with taxpayers who have the lowest annual adjusted gross income as reported on their 2018 or 2019 tax return, whichever is more recent. Less than $10,000: April 24 $10,001 - $20,000:
May 1 $20,001 - $30,000: May 8 $30,001 - $40,000: May 15 $40,001 - $50,000: May 22 $50,001 - $60,000: May 29 $60,001 - $70,000: June 5 $70,001 - $80,000: June 12 $80,001 - $90,000: June 19 $90,001 - $100,000: June 26 $100,001 - $110,000: July 3 $110,001 - $120,000: July 10 $120,001 - $130,000: July 17

Not all disabled recipients are on SSI which is for blind or disabled persons on limited income and financial resources. SSDI is Social Security Disability and like SSA is based on your work history.
