After weeks of being closed due to the Coronavirus, Liberty Counsel is calling on the churches to open and believers to start meeting again on Sunday, May 3, which is being called ReOpen Church Sunday. May 3 is also the beginning of the National Day of Prayer week, which culminates on Thursday, May 7.
The website ReOpenChurch.org will provide information for churches.
ReOpen Church Sunday should include appropriate measures of sanitization and appropriate social distancing between families. Churches may also consider reopening with a variety of service options, which may a combination of: (1) reduced seating inside the church; (2) parking lot services for those who cannot get or do not want to participate inside the church; and (3) online service for those who are unable to attend or who are in a higher risk category due to age or predisposed health conditions.
The Trump administration guidelines for Opening Up America Again outline three phases for states to gradually ease their lockdowns. Phase 1 set the target date of May 1, to systematically reopen the nation, but some states may be able to reopen earlier. Phase 1 includes churches.
The Greek word for church is ekklesia, which means assembly. The word synagogue is also derived from the Greek word, sunagoge, meaning an assembly of people or a place of meeting.

And the instant one single congregant dies of the coronavirus, the left will scream with undisguised glee, “See? We TOLD you that it was a bad idea, you stupid Christians/Catholics/Jews.”
And we gives a rat’s a$$?
The Lord: “Be not afraid”
We don’t. I guess I was stating the obvious, that’s all.
The Resurrection is Against the Law
An excerpt from Bill Wylie-Kellermanns classic Seasons of Faith and Conscience (1991).
The sealing of the tomb is, I believe, notoriously misunderstood. I grew up with a Sunday School notion that to seal the tomb was a matter of hefting the big stone and cementing it tight. The seal, in my minds eye, was something like first-century caulkingputtying up the cracks to keep the stink in. Not so. This is a legal seal. Cords would be strung across the rock and anchored at each end with clay. To move the stone would break the seal and indicate tampering.
The event conspicuously echoes the story of Daniel sealed in the den of lions. And a stone was brought and laid upon the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his lords, that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel (Daniel 6:18). As there, this is a legal lock on the tomb doornot air tight, but politically tight. To move the stone and break the seal is a civil crime. The resurrection is against the law.
The seal is also a recurring theme in the book of Revelation. Remember the scroll of history sealed with seven seals? Only One is worthy to break them and look upon or unveil the truth: that One is the Lamb who was slain. The seal is a claim of ownership and authority. Its meaning in Revelation is at least that God in Christ reigns sovereign over all history and in all events.
Caesar, in Pilate, on the other hand, violently disputes the claim. He has set his seal of approval on Jesus death, and now he guarantees it with troops. Secured by security forces. When the seal is broken in the resurrection, it stands among the signs that the power of the powers (death in all its forms) has been broken. The dominion of political authorityespecially inflated, aggressiveand imperial authority has been cut to the heart.
I have not seen a news report about mosque or rabat closings.
I should have recognized that but didn’t.
We’re good.
I think at this moment, under these circumstances, going against the authorities put in place by a sovereign God would be going against His will so churches should abstain from meeting based upon local restrictions & guidelines. The Apostle Paul says God put these authorities in place for His purposes and timing so if that’s the way God wants it, Christians should obey. It’s not like China, Middle East or Eritrea, yet.
Not true. They are also closed
So you will be among the first to go to church and sit right next to your fellow worshiper? Be honest
Good! The 1st Amendment is more important.
But I hope that anyone who knows they have the virus or thinks they have the virus will worship from home. If I go, I’ll wear a mask for some protection.
Yes, we are, my FRiend.
What a great post. I never thought of it in that way.

I disagree. You are assuming what you were being fed his truth. You know that to be untrue. Everybody attending church would prove that God does deliver on his promises.
Bttt
Bad idea in hotspots. It doesn’t do anything but hurt to open up churches.
Better to have online church and encourage them to help local businesses.
Thank you, most interesting!
Ramalamadingdong starts on Thursday.
Things might get very interesting....
This group calling for a national opening of all churches has nothing to do with faith, only politics.
