SEATTLE — Thousands of people gathered at the Washington state Capitol to protest Gov. Jay Inslee’s stay-at-home order designed to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

In Olympia on Sunday, some protesters wore masks, while others waved American flags.

The Washington State Patrol said an estimated 2,500 people showed up to the protest. No arrests were made.

Tyler Miller, one of the organizers of the event, had said rural areas should be treated differently than more urban locations with more coronavirus cases.

Earlier Sunday, Inslee decried President Donald Trump’s call to “liberate” parts of the country from social-distancing decrees, saying Trump is fomenting a potentially deadly “insubordination” before the pandemic is contained.

The latest statewide death toll as reported by the Department of Health had reached 634 deaths among 11,790 confirmed coronavirus cases as of 11:59 p.m. Saturday.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the counties with the highest totals: King County has 346 deaths among 5,135 cases; Snohomish County has 94 deaths among 2,101 cases; and Pierce County has 32 deaths among 1,109 cases.

....”Perhaps you need to know that this is not the past!”...

Vaccines used in the past show us they continue to protect us in the present and likely the future...medical Research and science build on the past.

....”If a vaccine becomes MANDATORY with tracking and all that entails, this is a BRAVE NEW WORLD!”......

Particular Vaccines have always been mandatory and recorded for decades in order to protect life and prevent epidemics.

....”Seniors have ALWAYS been vulnerable:....

So we have a responsibility to protect their life when it's within our power to do so.

....”Kids can’t eat without parents feeding them through work”.....

If that were always possible we would not have food banks and distribution of meals for children now. Nor would there be food stamps needed to feed families who go through tough times..Kids are not starving here they are being fed.

Get it?

We have prevented the health system being overwhelmed. The goal of the tyrants was supposed to be to “flatten the curve”, and the curve is flat.

What’s destroying the healthcare industry now is the shutdowns, with many thousands of doctors, dentists, and their employees idled and going broke because they have no patients.

You say the virus hasn’t taken freedom from anyone as you hide in your home for weeks on end? It’s the tyrants who have taken freedom from everyone under the guise of fear and false information. And you’re an enabler of that.

If we don’t get things up and running, there won’t be a health system or any other system, except those administered by a broke and floundering government.

We also don’t know that the tyrants’ “measures” have been “effective” because there was no control experiment, just the extreme one-size-fits-all fear-and-panic approach.

People are still going to grocery stores, home centers, getting their oil changed at the dealership, going to work, and getting outside at parks and the like. People don’t seem to be dropping dead from those interactions.

It’s time to get things up and running, and apparently some states are going to “begin the process” today, and elective medical procedures are being “allowed” again by some of the tyrants.

You keep on hiding though, since living the life of a sheep in a pen seems to make you feel better.

Don’t think of it as “insubordination” Inslee, think of it as a “resistance”, eh.

How many of the 2500 were infected when they went to protest, how many will be infected in five to ten days?

We’re all likely already “infected” and the results are no symptoms. There never will be symptoms.

A recent deep screen for Covid-19 at a homeless shelter in Boston showed “397 people tested, 146 people tested positive. Not a single one had any symptoms.”

Leftists aren’t afraid of corona deaths expanding exponentially after a lockdown is life, they’re afraid they won’t and this will be exposed as the needless destruction of the best economy this country has known.

It's a terrible thing to give up your liberty freely. To strive for Liberty is to take a risk - a risk people have dodged bullets, bombs, firing squads, being hunted down, climbing walls, etc... not cowering in your house listening to your masters orders that don't make common-sense like no motor boats, no gun shops, no protesting, no religion all for the common good.

There is a risk of dying due to this virus but it is so extremely low on the scale of those who have risked striving for Liberty in the past, especially since there are treatments.

Exactly. Effing idiots. How many of them will pass it onto one of their elderly relatives or relatives/friend with an underlying condition that will now die.

Stupid stupid stupid

First of all I do not believe even a little bit the extreme measures taken were that of ‘Tyrants’... Rather an effort to manage the highly infectious/unknown deadly virus's spread, which has thus far been effective as much as one can control a virus.... The first goal was to save life and protect the vulnerable and to do that our medical system needed to be ready and protected (from what we saw happening in other countries), which as been successful.

Getting the nation back to work was not the least bit ignored when the decision was made to shut down businesses. Nor was the idea that nurses and medical people would be exempt from the virus or the economic fallout. Everyone would be affected obviously.

No body's "hiding" in their homes rather people are protecting their families as they have a self-determined right to do so just as you have that same self-determined right not to. As well, to cooperate or not with the guidelines and Phases of reopening the country.

The decisions I have made, when I made them, and how/what I determined was the time and place to implement was according to the "freedom" I have to make my own assessment of the situation and discernment of what the danger was and is to take care of myself, and frankly nobodies business but mine to do...as it is yours.

Those who have denied the seriousness of this particular virus are just as 'free' as anyone else to approach this as they are and will. I don't' have to join any side of the various 'issues' people are making out of this as there's plenty to be said on all sides.....But I have a problem with anyone calling others names and the bullying I see here by those who insist everyone has to think and act as they do....that's mob mentality.

Finally, anyone that didn't see early on that Governors, leaders/etc. wouldn't take overbearing political advantage of this crisis to push their agendas had their head up their ying yang....That too should have been prepared for......obvious from all the knots in peoples pants on this thread it was not.

.....”Tell the people that are losing their homes, their businesses....that their freedom has not been violated”......

Well actually their means of “Income” were taken away through no fault of their own. This generally happens even in natural disasters when people endure and adapt as they can and do...Only this time businesses/industries were asked to close for the sake of our health care systems and population's sake before an unseen enemy.

Unfortunately in any crisis nefarious actors ‘plan’ to take advantage of the crisis and use it to further agendas and political advantage just like the schemers do when there's going to be a flow of Federal monies.

They won't get camera time when they or family members are being turned away at the ER.

What does a week to ten days in a hospital cost?

What does a week's worth of HCQ/Z Pack and Zinc cost for the small minority who even present symptoms at all?
