The New Jersey woman who helped organize and film a protest in the state capitol of Trenton against Governor Phil Murphy's stay-at-home orders was charged by the state police with violating the emergency decrees. The information comes to us via a press release from the state's attorney general, Gurbir S. Grewal and Colonel Patrick J. Callahan, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police.
That's some pretty heavy artillery to keep a lone woman in line. All she did was exercise her right to organize a protest and film it. NJ.com: The protestors gathered outside the Statehouse and other locations in Trenton on Friday afternoon as Murphy and state health officials held their daily coronavirus press briefing.
A video taken by a woman who was live streaming the protest on Facebook showed people driving by the Statehouse honking their horns with American flags waving from their windows and others holding signs and flags on the sidewalk in front of the building. A woman holding a megaphone could also be seen among the relatively small crowd along with a group of masked New Jersey State Police troopers that the woman filming kept panning over to during the course of the nearly 10-minute long video.
Did the attorney general and superintendent of the state police really have to issue a press release about bringing the heavy-hand of government down on one, lone woman whose only crime was that she was outdoors filming a protest? That press release was obviously designed to scare off other protesters. Isn't that kind of like, well, sort of... tyranny?
Incredibly, AG Grewal bragged about the "enforcement action" in a tweet. AG Gurbir Grewal â@NewJerseyOAG If you think emergency orders are more like guidelines than actual rules, think again. HereÂs the latest on our

Ober Sturm Bann Fuhrer Murphy in action
Lawsuits incoming. there will be a lot of class action lawsuits from this.
Maybe speakeasy establishments will make a come back in the people’s republic?
We’ll have our Bastille Day yet.
It’s been bugging me...
The media and right in a free press to interview citizens less than six feet away it a right.
The right for citizens to freely assemble and address their grievances against government, more than six feet separating is not essential.
Same first amendment
Oppression to some but not others
Rights for theft,
Not for me
Anyone in the jury pool is under no obligation to volunteer anything about being on FR...
Murphy needs a recall..
Americans are getting a good taste of socialism and government control. It’s not pretty, is it? And, it affects Democrats as well as Republcans. Wake up Democrats!
Every Democrat is a violent totalitarian thug.
And the judgments and attorneys' fees will constitute a considerable drain on state finances that are already limited by revenue shortfalls which resulted from their "shut down the economy" rules.
Nope.
Probably by a landslide.
the guns of the State Police are their authority. The State Police will follow the Governor’s orders.
Boy this thing really has the left showing their inner-Nazi...
Always thought that much of New Jersey was controlled by the Mafia but I was wrong. The controllers are much worse. They are Democrat Fascists led by Murphy, Rep. Murray, a fascist head of the State Police and a probably Soros lackey State’s Attorney General.
Need more information on the AG. Sounds like a guy who missed his first chance at fascism because he wasn’t living at the time of Nazi Germany (and if he is of Indian heritage, he missed much of the nativist Fascist movements of India, one supported by Ocasio-Cortez’s former aide and lover).
I worked hard to try and put the Mafia out of business but it looks like the Democrats are “The New Mafia”, and a bigger threat to American than Gotti and friends.
And the judgments and attorneys’ fees will constitute a considerable drain on state finances that are already limited by revenue shortfalls which resulted from their “shut down the economy” rules.
Good, then maybe they will learn the lesson not to trample the rights of Americans and to destroy their livelihoods. Another upshot of this is that the gold-plated government salaries and pensions take a hit because our public servants have become our overbearing masters.
