TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey residents hoping to emulate anti-‘stay at home‘ protests in other states including Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming and Virginia were thrown a curveball on Thursday when Facebook shut down their event page.

The “Open New Jersey” rally – planned for Tuesday, April 28th at the Trenton War Memorial – was informed by Facebook that its event page violated the social media platform’s community standards. Specifically, Facebook warned that it was “coordinating harm and promoting crime.”

Promoting crime. Is that going to be their treatment of every protest?

I don’t do facebook, but can’t people do a workaround by naming such events something benign?

No. They pick and choose. Antifa organizing is okay. RKBA organizing is not, etc.

And this is one of the things that is so insidious about this whole “lockdown”. Pretty hard to coordinate a protest when you can’t gather and talk to other people (neighbors, coworkers, etc.), in person or online, and when the mere act of gathering to protest is itself considered a “crime”.

I wish there was some tech-savvy conservative fat cat out there who could set up a social media site to compete with Facebook.

There’s supposed to be rally to reopen state and county parks at a county park in Sussex County, New Jersey soon but the article I saw about it this morning is gone.

I will give full disclosure: I hated them before.

But now I really loathe the social media scumbags.

You who defended them as “private business-— they can do what they want” will see how certain events are now non-events, facts are now “fake news” removed and the fact tellers slandered and smeared as has happened to Blaze people recently. And all the history disappears forever.

Someday, UN approved China approved, W.H.O., pro-Dem, and leftist Anti-American stories will be all you are permitted to view. A dangerous time for America.

I was off FB for two years but rejoined to see how my nursing school friends were doing in the Detroit area with the virus.
Good news, most of the posts are junk advertising and the very few sites I followed, like Breitbart. Either being off two years took me out of circulation, or better yet, hardly anyone is using it anymore.

>>naming such events something benign<<

On FB “rally to promote Communism in the US and phyically assault Conservatives” would fly no problem.

FB and Twitter stopped being private businesses years ago. They are now utilities.

Right. Preaching to the choir to tell me. When conservatives are made invisible to searches, shadow banned, deplatformed, slandered, declared fake news and extinguished, and have fans punished for liking them----it's big trouble.
