Wow, he tweeted this? I was so disappointed in him last night, but maybe there’s hope after all.

My personal opinion is that there is no reason to be disappointed with him or anything that happened yesterday.

What he outlined is the best course of action. We do need to proceed carefully, but we do need to proceed. What exists now is not a viable, long term solution.

Why were you disappointed?

He outlined a carefully crafted plan based on continuously and rapidly changing that are known down to the county level. They know with great precision the status of the nation in as he said a gigantic puzzle of pieces.

The solution proposed is rational. To be disappointed is to be irrational, emotional, Leftist.

Wait until they take it back, there will be retribution, they are not going to let 2016 ever go, we will pay for that.

And 2020 is already theirs, we are screwed.

“I was so disappointed in him last night, but maybe there’s hope after all.”

he’s obviously playing rope-a-dope ... saying it’s up to the govs in public, and then pressuring them with these tweets by inciting their voters to revolt ... apparently you don’t understand just how devious our President really is ...

Trump performed the greatest feat of political jiu jitsu ever. Remember how Cuomo and other Dem governors reacted when Trump said he alone had the power to decide when to open the states? They said he didn't according to the Constitution and they called Trump a dictator and wannabe king.

Trump flipped the narrative and placed the entire decision for opening the states on the governors. They are now responsible totally with the proviso that if they screw up, Trump will step in. A complete reversal of positions with the governors now becoming the focal point of the public's dissatisfaction.

Biden said that Trump "punted." I listened to Cuomo whining this morning saying that he needed help from the federal government. More testing capabilities, more money for the states to make up funding shortfalls in state revenue, etc. Now Cuomo is on the defensive blaming the federal government for delaying the opening of the economy.

The pressure on the governors to open their state economies is going to increase exponentially. People are tired of being under house arrest. Does anyone think NYC will be in lockdown until August? Or Virginia to June 10? The public at large, the business community, Dem donors, etc. will meekly accept the suppression of their freedom of movement and association? Scare tactics only last so long. People will openly defy the rules making enforcement impossible. Politically, the Dem Governors and mayors will wilt under the pressure. They will rationalize why they have changed their minds.

Soon the governors will be the ones advocating strongly to open up their economies reflecting the will of their constituents. That's the way politicians operate. The Dem governors will soon realize that foot dragging will hurt them and the Dem party than Trump.

I was disappointed last night too. Not in the President - it’s not his fault - but just disappointed he can’t get out from under these alarmist bureaucrats he is surrounded by. They sound the alarm bell, and once rung, it cannot be unrung.

Once an “expert” says (without proof) that something is unsafe, now the burden of proof is shifted onto anyone who wishes to dispute it - they have to prove it is safe, which of course is impossible.

My wife is an obstetrician and she deals with the same dilemma all the time. She is surrounded by doctors who she says are far too quick to call for an emergency c section, when it is not a true emergency.

The ostensible reason for calling a c section is always medical risk, but there is a lot of leeway in assessing risk and sadly, she says it is common for doctors to call for a c section simply because it can be scheduled rather than having to wait around. In other words, for their convenience.

The problem is, once a doctor calls it an emergency, it is impossible to reverse course. The doctor calling the emergency doesn’t have to prove a natural birth would be unsafe, but if she overrides the decision, now the burden of proof is on her to prove that the natural birth is completely safe - which is impossible.

I believe President Trump is in the same boat. Alarmists can’t be ignored.
