I don’t understand the legal process, when someone requests a new trial, and provides evidence to back up their request, that the same Judge who oversaw the sham trial, is then allowed to decide whether a new trial will be granted. It seems like a stacked deck, not a fair hearing that would lead to an unbiased decision.

She is covering her own ass, she is clearly corrupt and biased. This juror should have never been seated and this verdict should be set aside. But, that will never be done by this trial judge, she is worse that the juror.

From what I read about the juror, it was a very strong case for a new trial. And, for criminal prosecution against that juror.
