Boating, jet-skiing banned under Michigan stay-at-home order; kayaking allowed
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer extended the state's stay-at-home order on Thursday, and using a motorboat, jet ski or other similar watercraft is not allowed.
The state clarified the order in a FAQ section, asking if boating constituted an outdoor activity.
While physical outdoor activity is allowed, like kayaking, canoeing and sailing, "using a motorboat, a jet ski, or other similar watercraft is not. Any outdoor activity permitted under the order, including boating, must be done in a manner consistent with social distancing, and individuals should use only their own equipment to prevent the transmission of the virus through the touching of shared surfaces."

A former phb-ette psycho liberal would do all that green stuff and more.
Wretched Gretchen
I wouldn’t go to or live in MI if it was the last place on earth. Too many morons.
The majority of the people of Michigan are getting just what they subliminally wanted by electing Gauliter Gretchen.
It is going to be difficult to fish for those Asian Carp that are destroying the lakes in a canoe.
Dictators never realize that they have overplayed their hand until there’s a revolt and the piano wire/lamp post assembly commences.
Right, that use pixie dust to make electricity to charge the Lithium Ion battery made in China.
Actually, last year I bought my first ever battery operated outdoor power tool. A Stihl hedge trimmer. It was not cheap. The trimmer itself was just under $200. I upgraded to the best battery they made for the series of equipment(another $100). I charged it overnight the first time. I was very pleasantly surprised. I used it for over 2 1/2 hours that day. When I was done and put the battery back on the charger, it still had 25% left. I used it again the next day. Same result. So, I would definetly recommend it.
What I came to realize was with a gas/2 cycle tool you leave it running when you are not actually cutting. You do not want to have to restart it. With the battery operated, you just let go of the trigger and it stops. You press the trigger and it starts. Same principal with a string trimmer or chainsaw.
The best part is that you do not have to worry about the stupid ethanol gasoline problems that we have all dealt with the last xx years. Also, you can store the tool in your garage/house basement without having a flammable liquid.
My brother in law has a Stihl battery operated chainsaw. It has the same battery as my trimmer. He loves it for all the
the above mentioned reasons. It is perfect for a home owner that uses a tool like that occasionally.
FYI, this STIHL hedge trimmer was made in AUSTRIA. The battery was made in Germany. Not Chinese crap. A lot of the Stihl tools are now made in SC (I think).

Lawyers should be having a field day with this asinine over-reach
Yep, I like my Makita battery drill and circular saw.
They can't work, non-essential....at least they got that one right :)
The Gov is smoking something.
I have Milwaukee battery operated. I love them, but they are made in China. The Stihl was my FIRST outdoor battery operated tool.
If I did not already own a gas Stihl leaf blower, Stihl chainsaw, two Echo string trimmers, one Stihl straight shaft brush cutter, etc I would convert to Stihl battery operated.
And you gets extra points if your canoe is made of birch bark like our indigenous Indians used to make to travel the waters in Michigan.
As a fervent kayaker, I’m all for outlawing jet ski’s that destroy the tranquility.
Im a kayaker
I have inflatable kayaks that I can roll up in a bag and put a plane anywhere in the world for free
I put me and my wife in one of them and paddle her around all over the place and tropical environments all around the world
In terms of boating in the ocean kayaks have complete and utter right of way and have the rights to land anywhere in the world ( except of course for people have machine guns and will prevent you from doing so)
Didn't look like it in Lansing today but you believe whatever makes you feel warm and cozy inside.

***************
What would make me really feel warm and cozy inside would be a much larger crowd of, let’s say, a couple thousand people showing the elites that they’ve had enough. That would send a very powerful message.
While this protest was encouraging and I applaud everyone who attended, the reality is that it wasn’t that big of a turnout. Pretty darn good for short notice but we need more people to get off the couch and stand up for their personal liberties.
You need to see the aerial view of that protest, that town was locked down, no movement.
There were more then that there.
Yep. Total grid lock for blocks.
