Boating, jet-skiing banned under Michigan stay-at-home order; kayaking allowed
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer extended the state's stay-at-home order on Thursday, and using a motorboat, jet ski or other similar watercraft is not allowed.
The state clarified the order in a FAQ section, asking if boating constituted an outdoor activity.
While physical outdoor activity is allowed, like kayaking, canoeing and sailing, "using a motorboat, a jet ski, or other similar watercraft is not. Any outdoor activity permitted under the order, including boating, must be done in a manner consistent with social distancing, and individuals should use only their own equipment to prevent the transmission of the virus through the touching of shared surfaces."

A Change.org petition to recall Governor Whitmer has been circulating on social media. It is not possible to recall the governor or any other elected official in Michigan through an online petition. Recall petition forms must contain a handwritten signature on a form approved by the Secretary of State following a clarity/factuality review by the State Board of Canvassers. Beware of signing any online petitions as the information people voluntarily supply is often sold or used for marketing purposes.
There was no way I was going to sign it......I purchased one Trump T-shirt and I was getting solicited for donations from politicians running for office in three different states.
Fireplaces, bbq grills, outdoor fire pits will soon be on the permanent chopping block, I predict.
People do not catch viruses while they are outside unless they are standing right next to each other kissing or coughing in each others faces. Any activity that gets people out of enclosed spaces where viruses do get passed around should be encouraged.
