x-Clinton lawyer threatens to sue Nevada unless ballot harvesting permitted

A prominent Democratic lawyer who represented Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign is threatening to sue the state of Nevada unless it immediately suspends prosecutions for ballot harvesting before the June 9 primary, among a slew of other demands, according to a letter obtained by Fox News on Tuesday.

Marc Elias, now representing the Nevada Democratic Party, also called for a substantial expansion to in-person voting access in the upcoming primary — though just days ago, he said it was a "national disgrace" that Wisconsin was moving ahead with in-person voting amid the coronavirus pandemic. (In both cases, he cited health concerns.) Democrats had feared that high turnout in Wisconsin would hurt their chances, while they have a more optimistic outlook in Nevada.

Writing on April 10 to Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, a Republican, Elias first took aim at Nevada Revised Statutes section 293.330(4), which prohibits ballot harvesting and permits only certain individuals, like family members, to return ballots. Ballot harvesting, or the practice of allowing political operatives and others to collect voters’ ballots and turn them in en masse to polling stations, has drawn bipartisan concerns of fraud from election watchers.

In his letter, Elias argued that "many Nevada voters will not be able to return their mail-in ballots themselves and do not have family members – or are separated from these family members because of social distancing – who can do so for them."

"We ask that your office and the office of the Nevada Attorney General immediately announce a suspension of prosecutions under this statute for all elections for which mail-in balloting will be the primary means of voting in the state," Elias said.

At the same time, Elias called for Nevada to stop throwing out ballots when signatures on voters' ballots appear different from those on

Brace up folks they are going to push that mail ballot crap for every state before November...We already have absentee ballots, but that’s not crooked enough for them.

I remember this and thought what an idiot!!!

I have not been impressed with Ducey at all. I can hardly wait to see who runs from both parties in the next gubernatorial election.

I wonder if ballot harvesting is even constitutional?

Elections are a joke at this point, Voter ID is a dead issue and ballot harvesting is going to be accepted by the GOP.

Definitely not! The Constitution calls for ONE DAY of voting in Federal Elections.....so the Constitution has been being usurped for decades. (And there should NEVER be same day registration OR 4 weeks of voting!!)

I briefly was employed by a certain life insurance company which marketed waaay overpriced policies to very poor people, mostly blacks, in mostly rural areas. (Think dilapidated single wides, rutted dirt roads, scrawny dogs.)
The main selling point was that, like ballot harvesting, the agent would come to their house & PICK UP the premium payments every month!
These customers had no difficulty getting to town to purchase cigarettes, liquor, & lottery scratchers—the evidence was always in their trash— but purchasing stamps & paying bills seemed to slip their minds.

Being an efficient person, I noted there might be easier ways to do things.
I quickly began to express annoyance at wasting MY gas, returning repeatedly to collect from people who weren’t home or didn’t have the money right now.
I noted these customers had rural mailboxes RIGHT AT THE END OF THEIR DRIVEWAYS, BY THE ROAD! They could put their payments in their own mailbox, for the postman to pick up & deliver! I suggested REQUIRING all payments be mailed!
I even suggested GIVING them stamps! CHEAPER than my gas!

But, as it was pointed out by my superiors, these people would lose their stamps, forget to mail on time, & mostly didn’t have checking accounts anyway, they used cash. So we agents had to drive out to collect— repeatedly. No other way.

Soon I began to notice this process could be quite advantageous to unscrupulous agents. They could simply pocket cash & “forget” to record receipt in the book. This would result in lapse of policy.
Not to worry!
Simply rewrite a new policy the following month, collect again, and all was good. If customer even noticed, claim “mistake,” apologize, & give ‘em a “free” calendar.
The key was, the agent couldn’t steal from & lapse the same customers too often. That might be questioned. It was important to rotate the thefts.
And of course, the premiums paid for these $5000-8000 “burial policies” could have purchased $50,000-100,000 life policies elsewhere.
But these customers didn’t shop around, & anyway, those other companies didn’t do pickup.

As I began to catch on, I raised objections to all this & was deemed a troublemaker, told to get with the team or get out. I left.

The reason for this rambling rant is, ballot harvesting would work in much the same way & target the exact same demographic.

It would take advantage of poor, ignorant, & lazy people who want everything done FOR them.

All that’s really needed is names & addresses on the forms. The caretakers will take care of the rest.
Ballot harvesting would be directed at those who normally have NO CLUE when election day is, who’s running or what they (really) stand for, and even less clue they’re being manipulated & ripped off.

Turn in just enough ballots, divert just enough to fly under the radar, & profit bigly. The pawns being used in this scam won’t be paying attention, as long as they’re being taken care of.

Virginia governor signs legislation dropping voting restrictions

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/492462-virginia-governor-signs-legislation-dropping-voting-restrictions

Virginia will no longer require voters to show a photo ID prior to casting a ballot, Gov. Ralph Northam (D) announced Sunday.

Northam signed a series of bills aimed at expanding access to voting.

Northam signed a bill replacing a state holiday, Lee-Jackson Day, that honored Confederate generals with a state holiday designated for Election Day.

The new bill allows for early voting 45 days prior to an election without a stated excuse; Virginia previously required absentee voters to provide the state with a reason from an approved list.

All the measures passed earlier this year in the Democratic-controlled legislature.

Democrats won control of both the state Senate and House of Delegates in the 2019 elections.

Marc Elias

He's the guy who brokered the deal between Hillary Clinton and the DNC (Debbie Wasserman-Schultz) during the 2016 election to pay off the DNC's 2012 convention debts in exchange for Clinton's control of the fundraising machine.

He's also the guy who acted as the cutout between the Clinton Campaign and Fusion GPS to fund the "Steele dossier."

Does this tell you just how much the Left relies on fraud to win elections.

Ballot harvesting is NOTHING IF IT IS NOT FRAUD.
