WASHINGTON - The U.S. military believes that the coronavirus likely occurred naturally, as opposed to being developed in a Chinese laboratory, but there is still no certainty either way, the top U.S. general said on Tuesday.
“There’s a lot of rumor and speculation in a wide variety of media, the blog sites, etc. It should be no surprise to you that we’ve taken a keen interest in that and we’ve had a lot of intelligence take a hard look at that,” Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told a news briefing, when asked if there was any evidence the coronavirus may have been developed in a Chinese laboratory.
“And I would just say, at this point, it’s inconclusive although the weight of evidence seems to indicate natural. But we don’t know for certain.”

If this was an engineered virus, it was poorly designed. Mother Nature generates higher levels of “sickness” annually.
If released from a biological research facility, it may have just been being observed for effects, or perhaps even being modified and then observed for effects, and it was accidentally released to the wild.
More likely, Nature coughed up this random POS and bestowed it upon our biosphere.
Occam’s Razor, IMO, seems to indicate that this is a “natural” occurrence, IMO.

There are multiple reports that the closest bat cave is hundreds of miles away, and because of that bats aren’t sold at the Wuhan wet market. Occam’s Razor would then indicate it came from Wuhan lab, which then raises the question of whether it was being manipulated in some fashion.
1. The city of Wuhan gets sick
2. China quarantines the entire metroplex except for international travelers...a huh
3. Chinese superiors study the effects within their sphere
4. Wuhan ends up being one massive biological experiment
4.1. (Possibly mass vaccinations in concert—which they already developed ahead of everyone else)
5. The world gets brought to their knees and China laughs

We can hope and pray that will happen, but so long as it’s cheaper to manufacture and then ship from China, than it is to build locally, the same businessmen that shipped our industries there, at a cost to them, will continue to use those investments. Only by prohibition from the government, or boycott by the customer, will they likely change their minds. I boycott China everywhere I can, but it’s often hidden, and therefore impossible. Hence, it is likely that only our government can force this change, whether they will remains to be seen.

With the useful information we currently have, this being an engineered virus doesn't seem to fit the known facts, but then again, the known facts at this time are few and far between.
If this was man made, outside of speculation, please provide definitive proof.

What do you mean, your theory is all the proof that is necessary?
At this time, there is no way to pin any theory down as fact with what little is known. Looking at the damage dealt by the virus, the most simple conclusion is “natural”. That doesn't mean it is the correct conclusion.
Until definitive proof is provided, I typically go with what fits the known facts. I'm always open to changing my opinion when provided with a more reasonable explanation that better explains the situation with what facts are known, and more facts may surface that we currently aren't aware of.
If this is a Chinese WMD virus, I say we go to war with them right now, Biological WMD’s vs Biological WMD’s. We can't lose! /s
Agree 100% BUT to admit otherwise would be to admit China has committed an act of war. And that would require a lot more than a nasty diplomatic note and financial sanctions in response. I do not believe Pres Trump wants to go in that direction. But if we could do to Xi what we did to Soeiliman and do it live on TV, if we could do that then I would be down with that.
