The prime minister has proposed a new emergency law that would allow the authorities to shut down public venues and transportation quickly if needed. You have to size- and time-adjust Sweden's fatality count to be comparable to that of other countries,

On that basis, Sweden has about 5,700 more deaths from COVID-19 than the US. That means we are 'beating' them. But they haven't vaporized their service sector.

Time will tell which approach is best.

Sweden and It's Neighbors, Who Has the Best Tactic Againt COVID-19?

Sweeden is doing their own thing with regard to isolating. I'm cheking to see if they
have the right idea or not. I'm not convinced either way at this point.

Here are some numbers to help us look at this issue.

These cases grew over a respectable amount of time. Sweden doesn't look so bad at all when
you look at the Cases Per Million. It's the deaths that look worse. Still. Let's look at
those figures.

In deaths per million, Sweden's neighbors seem to be doing better. Still, 87 deaths per
million doesn't strike me as a terrible number. If you consider the contributing factors
there, I'll be it looks even less worse. And I suspect that if you check out Sweden's
death figures from all categories from 02/21 to present, I suspect you'll see this death
lose significance.

The Sweish death rate per million winds up being 0.000086%. Sweden may be on the right track. We'll continue to follow this situation..

The country-to-country comparisons are pure propaganda. Your stats tell the story. Sweden is the control group in a natural experiment to determine the effectiveness of the lock-down strategy.

I’ve known a few Swedes and they were very nice people. Today’s Swedes seem to like “stupidity” be it their loss of sovereignty over their own city of Malmo to the Islamic extremists to trusting communists, Islamists and EU fans as knowing what the hell is going on in the real world.

It is also outright falsehood, as Sweden has said many, many times that their goal is no herd immunity. The author cannot be unaware of this.

Sweden’s daily new cases went up from April 12th’s 332 to April 13’s 465. That is a 40% increase. I will be looking at April 14’s numbers. I think Sweden is being lulled into the death hit.

Sweden has generous state assistance for the elderly so it’s not common for them to live with their children, compared to Italy. This may help them keep the cases low.
