There's too much chatter about movies that are "so bad, they're good." These admittedly amusing musings distract from a truly insidious phenomenon:
Movies "so good, they're bad."
No such creature as "just a movie" exists. We may (believe ourselves to) be capable of separating fact from fiction, but millions of people never will.
Take the "Hitler's Pope" canard. It was popularized by, of all things, a Soviet-orchestrated stage play called The Deputy, back in 1963. How many individuals have heard of this play, let alone seen it performed? A few thousand? Yet the Vatican's supposed collusion with the Nazis is widely considered "common knowledge," despite all the well-researched critiques which have not, in like fashion, been rendered down into easily digestible, entertaining, two-hour public performances.
I remain perturbed by Ben Affleck's reduction of Canada's crucial role in the rescue of American hostages in Argo. Brits object, among other things, to the portrayal of their ancestors as war criminals in The Patriot. James Cameron had to apologize for slandering a Titanic officer. Do not get me started on Thirteen Days...
And it gives me no (okay, a little...) pleasure to inform those of you forced to sit through corporate "team building" exercises based on the "square peg in a round hole" scene in Apollo 13 that, in actuality, one man came up with that lifesaving fix; as in most situations here on planet Earth, a team probably would have taken much longer and just screwed things up.

You can shoot a thousand melons and half will go one way, half will go another. I know; Ive done it.
L H Oswald acted alone for one very critical reason...he had absolutely no friends! Nobody liked him. Which is why he had to go to Russia to find a wife. And he was a loner.
That one story in the book stayed with me.
Raped by dozens of men while tied to a bed.
Countless times.
How does a woman recover from that?
And who would want to partake?
The crucifixion of Armenian girls has never left my mind either.
LOL!. That made my day!
Many people can have motives. That's not evidence they did it. Obviously, most people with motives didn't.
Reading the Posner book made me a firm skeptic of the conspiracy theories where previously I had been mostly neutral. One of the clinchers for me is the fact that the conspiracy theories were first promoted by the left.
Oh Oh, your experience shooting melons throws off some what the theory about JFK’s head going backwards due to a shot which came from only one direction.
Well, I read Roger Stones book, so I guees I found it compelling. That said, Im happy to blame both LBJ and the CIA; hate them both.
Your experience isn't relevant to this specific shot. It has been replicated, with similar damage to the bullet.
"Also, the killshot from the Zapruder film was fired from the front, and was not from a 6.5 Carcano."
That's not what the evidence says.
Juries..like OJ Simpson’s jury? Or Michael Jackson’s? Or Casey Anthony’s? Sometimes the length of a jury’s deliberation has absolutely nothing to do with the strength of the claims. Sometimes it’s just the jury.
What? The British were not brutal? Read and weep.

I claim no special expertise on firearms or ballistics, but if expertise is a prerequisite for discussion then one could speak to very few topics other than those directly experienced. Never played in the NFL? Better not critique that play call in the Super Bowl!
I can see with my own eyes that the conditions at the site were not as difficult as advertised. I can read that multiple experts matched Oswalds shots in tests. I can view photos showing that the pristine bullet was not pristine.
Even if Oswald got incredibly lucky it wouldnt be proof it didnt happen. I could cite for you multiple events in my life that happened spontaneously which could not be repeated if attempted a thousand times. That doesnt mean they didnt happen that one time.
That’s not what the evidence says.
Evidence controlled by who? The FBI? The CIA? The Deep State?
Puh-leeze.....
Not sure where some of you are getting your Intel from. LHO didn’t kill anyone that day. Three Europeans assassin’s left Miami on that Monday, got to Dallas Thursday and did the job on Friday. Look it up
Yeppers dp0622, the Brits were brutal on many occasions.
Here is one of them:

But what confused the Brits was Gandhi’s methods of non-violent protests. The Brits were in shock to see Gandhi simply turned the other cheek. But my own theory is that the only reason Brits gave up their crown colony of India was that their soldiers were suffering from exhaustion by the time WWII ended in early 1940’s, and India gained independence in 1947. So in an ironic way Indians can thank Hitler for their independence.
I understand. But motive is one/third of the triangle of elements of murder.
The problem with the assassination is the Warren Report was far from air tight; this spawning a plethora of conspiracy theories. I have read most of the books by the noted conspiracist authors and this who favor the one-assassin no conspiracy theory. I even watched the special on the History channel with computer reinactment showing Oswald could have walked from the depository to the theater will the stops in between and still been there when the cops swooped.
Based on the passage of time and the mess created, it may be that a significant number of people will never believe the “official” story.
Put me down amongst the cynical who has read much of the evidence pro and con and circumstantial.
One wonders how Oswald got the job and then the route of the caravan was changed to go right by the building where he worked. One wonders why LBJ at dinner the night before ,to his long time Texas secretary said, that “after tomorrow we won’t have to worry about the Kennedy’s anymore.” One wonders, after Johnny Roselli visited Joe Kennedy to get his sons to lay off the mafia when the mafia had helped him in the WV primary and in the main election in Chicago Kennedy said he would talk to them when they came home for Christmas, but he had a major stroke; would that have changed the course of history? But then again the mafia usually laid off of elected officials in order to not rile up the public.
After RFK kidnapped Carlos Marcello when he lost the case to deport him and dropped him in the forests of Guatemala without his wallet. Giancano who was over Marcello being the big guy on Chicago, was reportedly more than little miffed.
If you haven’t been, go to Dealey Plaza. Remarkably small and you can go into the space next to the snipers next and look at a very similar view. The thing that impressed me when I went, was the story that the city trimmed back the tree branches before CBS did their famous special that Oswald did it.
Best wishes!
Fair enough, most what compels me to believe in a conspiracy is historical evidence, rather that just the forensics. I think Oswald was a managed asset, and LBJ had the most to benefit from Kennedys death. The fact that Trump reneged on releasing the files says a lot to me. I was always a lone gunman believer, but not anymore.
Wow. I did not know about that event.
It’s hard to be pacifistic colonialists!!
Occupation without BRUTAL put downs of ANY opposition gets your men killed. Like our great men in Iraq.
But to deny history is a crime. No lessons can be learned by lies.
Like our schools do regarding communism, TGs etc.
That would be very ironic about hitler.
