California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) offered praise for President Trump’s efforts to help the state amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Newsom, who has frequently clashed with the White House, credited Trump’s intervention in getting a Navy ship to California and expanding federal resources in the Golden State, which has grappled with a significant outbreak.
“We have the USNS Mercy in California because of [Trump's] direct intervention and support. Two thousand of these federal medical stations because of his direct support," Newsom said on CNN. "So I can only speak for myself, but I have to be complementary. Otherwise I would be simply lying to you, misleading you, and that is a wonderful thing to be able to say and I hope that continues."
California has had over 21,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in the state, and 587 people there have died as of Friday evening. It has the fourth-most cases of any state in the U.S. behind New York, New Jersey and Michigan.
However, the state has seen an improvement in the fight against the virus, with the number of patients in the ICU Thursday dropping 1.9 percent from Wednesday, its first decrease in the figure thus far.

CA is bigger than NY but has only 587 deaths
why the difference?
Did Newsom ask if the USS Mercy came with a gift receipt?
Lower population density, and less reliance on mass transit in CA.
How close was that?
After this is over, the Senate needs to hold hearings into how this shutdown of the American economy was perpetrated, and the liars need to be exposed, shamed and possibly prosecuted. For example:

Mr. Governor, on March 18th, you wrote a letter to President Trump in which you stated that you project that 25.5 million California residents would be infected in the next eight weeks. What was your motive in making that blatant lie?
May be “Herding” and getting immune.
And POTUS Trump continues to provide aid to Newsom’s self-declared “nation state” of CA, just as he did for Puerto Rico and other territories of the US.

Holy excrement! Ok, now I’m worried. This might be a genuine sign of end times...
NY has Cuomo and De Blasio, who both waited far too long to implement controls to prevent the spread of the virus. Plus, NYC has people stacked on top of each other in the homes.
Also, the difference in the death figures COULD be because CA is only reporting deaths from the virus, whereas NY MIGHT be reporting deaths of people with underlying causes of death that also had the virus.
He is in the batters box for 2028
