NYT’s, WP, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Reuters, Yahoo are reporting the Earth is mad at Trump and is taking it our on poverty stricken, minority Indonesians. Democrats demand reparations.

Good way to kill a couple of hours and ward off Cabin Fever.
The “experts” will have to reset their global warming models. Again.
I was looking for an August 26, 1883 dateline.
Lets see, pestilence check, earthquakes check, rumors of war check, volcanos.....check!
2020 come on, is this all you got?
Evacuation was prohibited due to the possibility of spreading coronavirus. Krakatoans and East Javans are told to remain indoors, wash their hands, cough into their elbows and avoid large gatherings. Since evacuation would cause large gatherings, they are prohibited and anyone caught evacuating would be subject to penalties including being shot on sight and fines of 100 dollars.
I guess I spoke too soon! :O
Coronavirus fever cutting loose!
Back in the day - around ‘71 we were surveying the Sunda Strait.
SatNav (forerunner to GPS) Doppler Sonar and various other toys. Depth entering the Strait was ~60-70 feet.
Krakatau dead ahead. Just a little black cinder cone no more than 150 feet high with a single small recently sprouted Palm Tree at the shoreline. Boom! The bottom dropped out ... 480 feet. Massive hole in the bottom slowly rising back up to the cone maybe a mile away. A little wisp of smoke but otherwise quiet.
My how it has grown since then. Photos taken then lost over time & travel.
I’ll tell you what’s next...GODZILLA!
I remember the movie as a kid. Krakatoa, East of Java.
.... Isn’t this the anniversary of the original eruption ... aka .... the “Explosion Heard Around the World” in 1883?
Gee, Hollyweird should make a movie about this
My body’s burning like a lava from a Mauna loa. My heart is breaking like a Krakatoa
Pestilence, volcanoes, locusts... I forget what is next.
The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Special Visual Effects.. During the 1970s, the film was re-released under the title "Volcano."

Except that it is west of Java.
Volcanism increases during solar minimums as an historical fact. And we’re in one now. I saw an explanation that more extra-solar cosmic radiation gets through when the sun isn’t providing as much interference and that some of it penetrates deeply enough to produce the effect. I didn’t understand the details enough to explain further, but historically there IS a correlation, unlike the greenie delusions.
