Fox News Poll: Far More Americans Approve Of Fauci’s Handling Of Coronavirus Than Trump’s

Far more Americans approve of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s handling of coronavirus than President Donald Trump’s, according to a Fox News poll published Thursday.
Fifty-one percent of people polled approve of Trump’s response to coronavirus, while 77% percent of respondents approve of Fauci’s.
Trump’s approval rating hit 49%, up two points since February. Fauci’s approval has also declined 3% since last month.
Vice President Pence’s approval ratings are slightly higher than Trump’s in the Fox poll, with 52% of Americans approving of his response, down from 55% in March.
Trump’s approval rating numbers took a dip in March as coronavirus continued to spread. But recent polling for the president has been trending upwards. (RELATED: Latest Harris Poll Has Some Good News For President Trump On Coronavirus Response)
A poll from Politico published Wednesday indicated that more Americans trust Trump to handle the virus than former Vice President Joe Biden. Other polls show that more people support the president’s response to coronavirus than the media’s.

Because the media puff-up Fauci and demonize Trump. Early on - like most people - Trump DID downplay the seriousness of the corona virus, but he was speaking after being advised by Fauci. But the media have obsessed about Trump's early over-optimism while ignoring Fauci's direct role in fostering that optimism.

Spot on. Many a Chicken Freeper has lectured me about “trust the experts”. They have forgone, assuming they have had, any logic or reasoning skills they have. An expert is now holy and above question by mere commoners.
You don’t need to be an MD to understand the use and misuse of a ratio. You do need expertise to smell BS when it is peddled.

Do you agree more with Dr. Anthony Fauci’s statement that we may have to lock down the country another 18 months or so until a vaccine is developed?
Or with President Trump's statement that we need a plan to begin reopening the country where possible starting in mid-May?
