Team allegedly sets new 'Cannonball Run' record on empty highways during coronavirus lockdowns

A team of scofflaws has apparently taken advantage of the dramatic reduction in traffic across America due to the coronavirus pandemic to set a new coast-to-coast driving record. According to Ed Bolian, who set a record in 2013 when highway congestion was normal, the Audi A8 completed the “Cannonball Run” from New York to L.A. in 26 hours and 38 minutes, beating the 27 hours 25 minutes mark set last November by Arne Toman and Doug Tabutt.

Traffic analytics company Inrix has reported that congestion is down nearly 50 percent on average in the U.S. due to stay-at-home policies. Bolian did not reveal the identity of the drivers, but said in a YouTube video that he monitored a live track of the April 4-6 trip online and has seen timing data confirming the time.

That’s what I’m talkin’ about... she’s stated that she’s basically done nothing her whole life and been pretty happy about it; I often forget that she’s in my top three hottest ever:

(oh, and the Maude theme is still one of my guilty pleasures; about the only thing A.B. did on that show, that sticks in my memory, was walk down the stairs in the set, in profile, as my much younger self gave himself a black eye from the sudden, uh, well you get it)

I tried to talk dad into buying me an MGB-GT in the late 70s. He was smarter than that, thankfully.

I've made it from my house to my Sib's place way outside of B'ham in 3 hours 45 minutes (*when with the speed limit and before I-22 opened up completely*) when it should take 4:30 at the very least.

I did make it back from there one time in 3:30. My Charger was made to run and run fast (even if it's not a V8 or a Hemi.)

My mom drove it when we went out to Denver to see family for a few days. She got to drive from Topeka to Denver and set the cruise control for 79. She loved it. But I never had the heart to tell her she could have had it cruising at 95 without an issue.

“The number one rule of Italian driving....what is behind you is NOT important”

I always thought it was "if you're behind me you're on my team". On the Autostrad you better damn well pay attention to who's behind you. They drive as fast as Autobahn, except without rulz.
